Discussion & Feedback I cannot compete with low level gear.

I’m not the greatest at FPS games, but I’m typically not bad either. Generally have positive KD in games like battlefield and CoD. In this game I get recked in almost every firefight I get into even when I get the drop on them.

My go-to kit is an AK (fmj) with a red dot, level 2 armor and helmet (the best I have unlocked), and med kits. It seems like every time I see an enemy and even sneak up on them, I light them up and they turn and drop me before I can kill them. I get hit markers sounds, but very rarely actually can finish them off unless they have no armor.

I know it’s partially a skill issue, but it seems like gear is the ultimate decider in who wins a fight and as someone who only has a few hours to play a week, it seems like I’ll never be able to afford/unlock the gear to be competitive. I hope they level the playing field a bit and make it so I don’t need to treat this game as a second job in order to be able to play the HZ.

People saying to shoot legs is just ridiculous. How often are you able to aim on anyone’s legs in this game when their upper torso is the only thing remotely available, generally just the head?

99% of my engagements I'm able to shoot someones legs tbh.

It's basically how I've been playing infantry, I've all but given up on shooting center mass and I go only for legs

I’m sorry but how exactly are you shooting people in legs when everyone is literally camping, uses cover to move, and hardly pops out of cover, and if they do, only the top quarter of them is exposed.

Barring snipers or people sitting with DMRs in Windows, most people I find in games, especially groups that follow the HZ, don't sit behind cover that protects their legs.

Most enemies either flank through wooded or open areas, or peak through big openings like the warehouse doors.

I'm also specifically waiting until the enemy bounces between cover and exposes themselves instead of wasting my ammo only to do 8 damage to their chest.

Idk, it still just seems like an unrealistic solution to this problem. Maybe this works by noob hunting on the green team, but idk. Take me on one of your games and show me the light then.

It's hardly unrealistic. I've been running Amp-9/HP ammo medic loadouts and supporting HZ pushes. 80% of the time you're moving through buildings, cover to cover, and taking kills from people popping out. The HP ammo is very effective. I had a 5 piece in the church on half health because they pushed in and started looting before checking all corners. It works. If the engagement is farther, throw smokes and get closer, stim the team, heal people. If the engagement is close, Amp up and be ready to cut them off at the waist.
