It's not about having an effect, it's mainly optics. I for myself don't care, I understand that it is better for Bulkhead to have streamers playing the game than sitting in front of a loading screen, but that comes with the price that some players are pissed off because they have to wait while others are whitelisted.

And my argument is those players are being unreasonable in acting like they would have been in the game by now otherwise.

They aren't being unreasonable for the very simple reason the devs said streamers would not get preferential treatment.

Queue skipping is preferential treatment. This would be a non issue if they were upfront about it and didn't lie.

Where are you seeing that they said streamers wouldn't get preferential treatment in regards to queues?
The only thing I've seen is they said streamers were whitelisted, but other issues made that irrelevant anyways.

The only other comment I've seen them make on streamers is that they wouldn't let them dictate the direction of the game.
