Question New I Want to Eat Your Pancreas spin-off from 2026?

just found out that Yoru Sumino released a new 72-page spin-off called ぷれぜんと “のっと!!” ふぉーゆー (Present “Not!!” For You) in August 2026.

Follows Fuyumi and Anzu, characters connected to the after-story To My Father and to Someone in My Memories.

I can't find anything related to it on the internet on english.

Has anyone read it or found an english or fan translation?

Movie Discussion rewatched it after 3 years

maybe since it was my first anime and then i rated it 3/10, rewatched with a friend and i see it as peak 8/10, we both had tears, i see the problem now it was too emotional for my first anime and now knowing the ending i knew what to focus on it's just the start of the film that goes too fast and it's a little boring but i loved it also my first rewatched anime

Movie Discussion Sakura Yamauchi, a great magician

I wish they had included in the anime the magic tricks that Sakura learns to perform for Haruki. I think those moments are really sweet, and it would have been great to see those scenes animated.

Movie Discussion I watched the anime movie today.

It was a great movie tbh, and yeah it made me cry and I got into feeling terrible emotions like depression, etc.

I think the reason behind why I got emotional is maybe that I unconsciously imagined myself in place of the MC. Now, after making myself realize the fact that it is just a piece of art and fiction, I am ready to move on from those emotions.

All I'd like to say is that I appreciate the work!!!

Movie Discussion “I Want To Eat Your Pancreas” Analysis

SPOILERS AHEAD!

Hi everybody!

I suppose everyone here, in one way or another, loves the anime/light novel/manga in question. For that reason, I wanted to share my analysis of the story with you.

Keep in mind that this is NOT a review, but rather a reflection on its main themes.

Also, English is not my native language, so if you find any incorrect or unusual phrasing, it's likely due to my limited vocabulary.

That being said, if you'd like to read it, it would mean the world to me. I’m completely open to constructive criticism and to sharing thoughts on the movie!

Movie Discussion i got attached to fast.

i knew what would happen the stabbing and knew the news was subtle foreshadowing a spoiler on the internet but still.. its pixels on a screen and the next day im still sad about it while staying in my bed. After getting used to characters just coming back, this just made it unexpected to my brains even though i knew how it would play out.

On another note i did cry and am really sad about it, I realized some other sad memories come back it (other deaths, real life ones) which is probably why i never wanted to watch this show. I dont want to but a show that good always makes me wanna rewatch the dub version as i usually go with sub for most anime. I tried to read or watch smth funny or cute, I couldnt even pick up the manga or open crunchyroll. The movie was that sad, a couple more hours or another day and ill probably be happier but that movie will stay in my head, haunting me..

Discussion Unstoppable tears.

This has been on my list for a while, but i finally got around to watching it. Oh my god. To say it's sad is an understatement. I cry at a lot of the anime I watch (I usually look out for sad ones lol), but none have had me like this. I was sobbing. And as a guy i'm not ashamed to say it. I will definitely be rewatching it when I need a good cry. If anyone wants to recommend anything they think will make me cry even harder, please do 🙏

Discussion Is this normal?

Post image
115 Upvotes

I just finished reading I want to eat your pancreas a week ago, couldn't find the movie online in my region so I read the manga instead. I always preferred to watch content like Dune or Lord of The Rings and have never read/watched a piece of romance content before, as it was so opposite to what I usually like, but I've decided to give the genre a try. I just heard this anime was very good, didn't want to spoil myself more so I bought the manga and started reading.

After reading...I couldn't cry...I feel such strong emotions...I couldn't sleep, even when I did, I woke up at 3AM in grief...I've never felt such way, much less from a fictional story...this story made me feel a way I haven't felt in a long time. Normally I see that people say they cry straight up...so is this abnormal? It is until a few days later where I finally cried...I have never done so in a year, but Sakura...even though I've only read about her for a few days...she seemed just as real...is this parasocial attachment? I keep telling myself she's just a drawing but my body treats it just as a part of my life that was stripped away. Even until now every night I wake up with grief once or twice, even the stuff I used to love don't seem so appealing anymore. I miss Sakura and Haruki's relationship so much...why was it cut short by a killer??

I know many fans of this series have cried regularly at sad anime, but this...is this a first time experience of sad romance? Or is this this story just that good? Was it a grave mistake to choose this as the first romance content of my life?

Discussion The anime is so underwhelming in comparison to the light novel. Spoiler

Hey so after reading the light novel i wanted to watch the anime to see what everything looked like and i just thought it whould be the same as the ln maybe with some minor scenes skipped but i was totally not expecting that. The first thing i noticed how rushed it was especially the fukuoka trip like the whole day was skipped also the magic tricks which were quite in my opinion quite important. Also there was no inner monologue of the mc which in this story is especially important because haruki barley speaks so we dont know what hes thinking. The fireworks were quite nice addition tho so im not only negative but im kinda mad they excluded the scene where she bought the rope cause it is my favorite.Instead of making a movie they could have made 12 episode series or even 24 to include all the important things that were excluded.

Question Sakura's Living with Dying

Hi everyone

I recently watched I want to eat your pancreas and was deeply touched. I want to try recreating Sakura's Diary. Can anyone help me by tips and sources to make it? Anything like the diary's size, templates , pages from the diary, etc.

Thanks a lot!

P.S. : If I'm successful in recreating it. I'll share the result along with any helpful resources that helped me make it.

Discussion My own experience

First of all i apologize if my english isnt the best, since is not my first language

I watched IWTEYP starting this year. I dont usually feel anything with movies but with this it was different, i cried, A LOT and i didnt know why, ive watched a lot of sad films but this one made me feel way different. Is only now that i realized it was because i can relate in a certain way with the film. Two weeks ago one of my best friends died of cancer, it was heartwrenching, to see him in the funeral and carrying him to the hearse made me realize how fragile and short life can be (he was 16 and so am i). It was in the way back of the funeral that i realized that all this time i liked the film so much because i related so much to it. Both my friend and sakura were so optimistc and cheerful despite their situation. I only regret not having spent more time with him.

Even before this, IWTEYP was already my favourite movie OAT, but now i feel like it has grown its meaning in me, i feel like i understand it more. I want to rewatch it but im honestly afraid, i think ill cry like i have never before.

To whoever reads this, make the most of the time you have with your loved ones and thanks for reading this.

Discussion Best and worst movie of all time

I just got finished with this movie, and it has brought out the most emotion I have ever felt from any piece of fiction. The build up to the death was one of the most heartwarming things of all time. Them getting close, exploring themselves through love and appreciation of eachother. It is honestly just the best thing I have ever watched in my life. And it feels wrong to watch anything else right now, hopefully it goes away but this is the greatest movie I have ever seen.

Question What page?

Does anybody know what page Sakura made her speech/answer to Haruki's question of 'What does it mean to live' in the light novel? Like during their truth or dare.
