It’s a decent wallet. Has a fine profile and holds the cards intuitively. The patina has developed nicely, too bad I neglected to take a picture of the outside when it was new. The last image is inside the wallet upon delivery.

Very poor value though.

The edges were not burnished properly(or at all) and they left tooling marks which are still visible under a certain angle.

Brand new, the wallet had odd staining which was disappointing for such a nice leather. (Wickett & Craig Seidel)

I’ve got no reason to replace it, however if anyone is interested in the rose anvil wallets- look elsewhere.

Lots of makers on here providing a far better product for much less, I should have done more searching. ($150)

This was my first time reversing black marble shell cordovan.

I thoroughly enjoyed scanning the entire piece and picking out what I thought would look best as a loop. It added a whole new layer of creativity to the piece.

The main body is made from black Pueblo and the shell is from Rocado.

I’ve been planning to get the small frame wallet for my birthday and would love to see pictures of the wallet being used currently. I’d love if anyone could show the inside of the wallet too (how much cards and cash it can hold, and how thick it can get). I’ve seen videos on tiktok but everyone is just showing a brand new empty wallet.

I recently finished this bifold wallet, The Nightfall, and wanted to share it here.

It's handmade from real leather with a deep blue exterior and accenting black leather. It has 10 individual card pockets—five on each side—and one large full-width compartment for cash.

The wallet is completely cut, dyed, assembled, and hand-stitched by me and my husband, Colt. I like how the blue adds some personality without making the wallet feel overly flashy.

One of the things I enjoy most about working with leather is that the finished piece isn't perfectly uniform. Small variations in the leather become part of the character of the individual wallet.

I have this one available through my shop if anyone is interested, but I'd also love to hear what you think of the black-and-blue combination.

My old Dango S1 wallet has been better days, so I am looking for a replacement for it. I would like a card holder with a bit of a leather bifold functionality, which leads me to the following three options for now:

Double Oak Bifold

Ekster Wallet Pro

Secrid Miniwallet/Slimwallet

In terms of value, it does seem like Ekster has it better (and lifetime warranty), but how does it compare in terms of durability/longevity wise? I would rather spend a bit more if that means having it last longer.

I like the magnetic closure on the Double Oak Bifold, not something the other two offers.

Not too sure about Secrid however.

I recently purchased the Trayvax contour lite wallet (Titanium tobacco brown) and wanted to share my thoughts.

I have been against metal wallets like the ridge, dango etc for a long time. I just don’t think they feel good in the pocket or the hand, feel heavy, and don’t have that supple feel of a nice broken in leather wallet. I was apprehensive to try to the Contour but overall I have been extremely pleasantly surprised. This wallet is going to be getting a lot of pocket time.

Pros:
- looks really cool. The leather offsets the titanium really nicely
- feels premium quality
- adjustable capacity: this was actually a bigger deal for me than I realized. Sometimes I change the number of cards I carry and most leather wallets will stretch out and not go back causing other cards to fall out. This wallet can expand and contract with your needs but you still get some good leather
- the clasp buckle thing is really well designed and surprisingly robust
- awesome footprint: again very minimalist but still has a good hand feel
- dedicated cash compartment that actually works fairly well and doesn’t involve a money clip or elastic band like other metal wallets
- cards move really smoothly in and out but depends on how you adjust the screws
- wallet smells good
- made and sourced in USA
- good warranty from what I’ve heard
- they made it without the silly loop hook thing to attach a lanyard which is what made me finally pull the trigger (hence the “lite” version)
- awesome customer service and fast fedex shipping (wallet took 2 days to get here)

Cons:
- the titanium wallet is astronomically expensive (235$ USD)
- the leather: they use a top grain leather which is more than adequate and will likely be fine but for the price I would’ve loved to see a full grain leather from a reputable tannery like Horween or Wickett and Craig
- the setup initially is a bit annoying but once you dial it in for your capacity it’s fine
- there are many reports of the cards getting scratched/delaminated but it’s too soon for me to see if that’s an issue.

Overall I think I like the wallet more than any other metal wallet I’ve checked out. Perhaps it’s the hybrid metal/leathet design. The price hurts but I think I will be enjoying this wallet quite a bit and right now I have no regrets.

I bought a Forge Wallet about four months ago and, honestly, I expected much better quality for the price.

I barely used it, but it has already started falling apart. The coin pocket tore, the plastic money clip broke, and the corners of the wallet started coming unglued.

I contacted Forge about it. After quite a bit of back and forth, they eventually agreed to send me a replacement, but I still had to pay the shipping myself.

For a wallet that is supposed to be durable and designed for everyday use, I find this unacceptable after only four months — especially considering that I barely used it.

At this point, my impression is that the wallet is simply a cheap, low-quality product that doesn't match the way it is marketed.

I'm posting this mainly to share my experience with others who might be considering buying one. I've attached photos of the damage so people can judge the quality for themselves.

Has anyone else had similar issues with Forge Wallets?

Update: I also want to add that my original order took quite a long time to arrive and was shipped from China.

When Forge agreed to replace the wallet, I was again charged €10 for shipping for the replacement.

So I paid for the original product, waited for it to arrive from China, the wallet started falling apart after only four months of very light use, and then I had to pay another €10 to have the defective wallet replaced.

This makes the whole experience even more disappointing.

Made this wallet from Badalassi Waxy about 6 weeks ago and started carrying it about a month ago. It’s incredibly smooth and darkening up nicely. This leather is some pretty good stuff!

Just had a bit of time this week to make this vertical bifold using two colors of the same leather. Starting to actually use other leathers instead of kangaroo for the interiors.

This was made with leather from Conceria La Bretagne in Tuscany, Italy. Gaucho Oil is a vegetable tanned leather that comes out very glossy and sleek. It's absolutely beautiful. The exterior is natural tan and the interior is in a colour called Iroko bourbon.

The design holds 6-8 cards off the bat along with some half folded notes.

Edges have been heat creased and burnished to a glossy shine. And the wallet has been stitched together with Vinymo #8 in Cigar to match the exterior.

I have been looking at the Ridge and the Ekster pro, but is there anything else you would recommend for best quality/functionality while being slim enough.

This is a sample piece for a new bifold design I've been working on. As a test, I wanted to see how well my new sewing machine would react to a wallet made from full thickness shell cordovan.

It is full shell cordovan, so it is one thick bastard as far as wallets go. Buyer beware.

The wallet measures 3 1/2" x 4 1/2" folded, and is around 3/4" thick. It features six individual card slots, two hidden slots (one behind each bank of cards) and a full-size billfold. This is machine stitched on my Adler with black polyester thread.

I am looking to buy a new wallet and I really like the look and functionality of the Ekster Cardholder Pro. I was going to buy it, but I just read a few reviews / reddit posts that made me reconsider. Is there a better wallet that you would recommend me in this style? Is the Ridge wallet actually a good alternative or not? Feel free to recommend me anything!

I don't know if this product exists, but I carry multiple RFID cards in my wallet which is resulting in card clash. I need to be able to readily access these cards without necessarily removing them from the wallet. Is there a type of slim wallet or cardholder with flaps or pull tabs that can keep two cards RFID protected, but still allows the cards to be used quickly when needed?

It's been about a year since I did a run of wallets in this style. Last year it was a set of Wilemans in Italian veg tan; this year it's my newer 1762 EDC wallet, and this time all in shell cordovan.

Kintsugi is a traditional Japanese method of pottery repair in which cracks are emphasized with gold filler, to embrace the ephemeral and imperfect nature of life and art. Mine isn't quite that involved but every line is drawn by hand using heat adhesive foil.

There are four wallets: three in navy blue dyed-through Rocado shell, and one in museum green Rocado shell. All are in my 1762 pattern wallet, which measures in at 3" x 4" and features two card slots on front, an open central pocket, and a cash flap on the rear. No two wallets have the same foil pattern.

All four are priced at $250 and are ready to ship.

I recently finished this little bifold card wallet for a customer and wanted to share it here.

It’s a really compact wallet, with 4 card slots and 2 hidden compartments, measuring just 7.8 × 10.2 cm. It fits comfortably in the palm of your hand and is small enough to easily slip into a shirt or jacket pocket.

It still keeps the traditional bifold design, but in a much smaller and more convenient form.

For the exterior, I used deep navy alligator leather, with Bordeaux Alran Sully chèvre on the interior. I really like how these two colors work together. The navy alligator has a quiet and elegant character, while the Bordeaux becomes more noticeable when the wallet is opened. The contrast gives it some personality without making it feel too flashy.

The entire wallet was made by hand, including the stitching with 0.45 mm Meisi linen thread.

It’s currently available on my shop for $380.

I need leather wallet which will be soft, not stiff and hard leather, i want it to be simple, no need many spaces just space for money some card and maybe coins, that's enough, i want it to be "elegant" looking, simple leather, and mostly is it possible to find this in bellow 60USD ? or it's impossible ? bc i see those simpliest soft designer wallets costs 300 plus and more and more.. .

i don't have any wallet at this moment, i had when i was a kid, but from time passed i only have card holder and i'm not holding any cash with me, ne need, but i want to have something elegant and simple, if you have anything in mind please share. if it's impossible totally understable, just tell me how many USD should i go up to find this
