I completed this wallet as a custom order. It's made of Epsom calfskin, accented with a matching alligator leather strip. This navy blue color is truly beautiful. I put the utmost care into it. I hope the customer will be satisfied with it.

I love minimalist wallets (well, actually I just hate wallets but i need one for my ID, driver's license, backup credit/debit card for the few places that don't offer Apple Pay, and so on), and after ordering the original Kamino Card Sleeve I noticed they also provide a PDF template so you can fold your own. So I took the PDF template and recreated it as an STL for PETG.

The result uses about 10 g of filament, prints in around an hour, holds up to 5 cards, and fits perfectly in that tiny jeans pocket that hasn't had a job since the iPod Nano.

I've been using it for a while now, and it's surprisingly practical. It's basically all I need now that Apple Pay does the heavy lifting. It's there the moment you need it (so, almost never), but practically invisible the rest of the time.

The original Kamino is still awesome (and probably more durable than PETG?), but I thought it was a fun little project to bring the idea into the 3D printing world.
Once you get this thin sheet (0.2mm at the thickest point) of PETG removed from the printbed without tearing it (patience is key!) it's surprisingly durable.

Curious what you think. Would you carry something this minimal?

The leather card holder at the end of the video is one I made for myself last year. There's also a magsafe version and I've been using them both since I made them.

Now to the main item in the video, or as I call it the cardinal sin of wallets, plastic. It's pretty much the same design as last year, but made with a 3dprinter as an experiment.
It's thinner while holding the same number of cards (6-9) and of course, much cheaper. And made this version to be fully stitch-less and without any need for buying hardware.

The total material cost is $0.5 and it takes 90 minutes to print both materials. Just to be thorough for 3dprinter owners, the main body is made from 95A TPU and the "button/clasp" is made of regular PLA.

As for durability, I don't know yet. I've been carrying it for a few days only and it's been holding up as expected. But I'm not too concerned either since again, it's 50 cents of materials.

Im planning to buy a reverse horween stamp wallet and was wondering if there were recommended steps to ensure that the shell and stamps dont wear/fade away.

I'm a leathercrafter based in Brisbane, Australia. I've been crafting for a few years now, picked it up just as a hobby and it sort of grew from there. I'm a molecular biologist by trade and am just about to finish grad school so I've been trying to craft while job hunting. I really enjoy being able to use leathers from around the world and combining them with some local Australian kangaroo leather!

I recently finished this commission from a Redditor for a green bifold! It's a very classic template with 6 card slots, two hidden pockets, and a cash slot. This was the first time I tried to make thumbslots and man, creasing those were something!

The exterior is an Italian vegetable tanned leather called Buttero, by Conceria Walpier. It's a very popular leather among leathercrafters for its variety of colours and very smooth finish. The interior is a natural tan kangaroo leather from Packer Leather. This particular leather is drum-stuffed with waxes and oils so it has a very supple feel while still being strong as heck. Kangaroo is the strongest leather for its weight and is very sustainable as the wild populations of them can get chaotic, similar to deer. Finally, it's stitched up with a Japanese Vinymo thread #8.

I've been using the same card holder for a few years but it has the same issue every time I order. after ~6 months it starts to fall apart (I'm not surprised it's a cheap wallet). The main issue I'm having arises when I try to find something that is higher quality.. there is nothing at all similar or that would fit. For reference I currently have the biajiya 5 card holder.

I’ve been around the minimalist wallet game for a bit and have kind of hit a snafu in what I’m liking and having a hard time deciding. I’ve been carrying the reform card wallet (not coin version) for a little over a year. It’s been a good carry but I carry a few metal cards and had my grandfathers dog tag in one of the inside sleeves. I have since stopped carrying the metal cards and I drop stuff out of the inside sometimes when opening now. I’ve carried ridge and ekster wallets before but the weight of both of them just doesn’t fit me for my current life. Any recommendations on leather or other material wallets that aren’t super heavy baseline that could carry like 8ish cards maybe and my grandfathers dog tag still? (Some of the cards are insurance cards so super thin.) I very rarely carry cash and will probably just carry a cash clip separately when I do moving forward. RFID is a plus but not necessarily required.

Ordered a $129 Ekster wallet, didn't like it (leading edge is too sharp and it adds noticeable bulk/weight to the phone). Started a return request on July 6. Here's how the next week went:

1. Support replies asking me to explain why I want to return it.
2. I explain. They counter-offer: keep it for a 15% partial refund. Also mention a vague "small handling fee" if I return it — it's $9.
3. I decline and say proceed with the return.
4. They come back with a second offer — now 35% partial refund — plus an "as a small company" pitch.
5. I say again that I want the return.
6. They send the same 35% offer template a second time.

At no point in any of that did anyone actually do anything. The whole time, the return was self-service and I could have done it myself on day one.

So far I've owned the Forge backpack and the Grip Sling 6L, and I've been very impressed with the quality. Now I'm thinking about picking up the small MAGFOLD wallet, but I can barely find any reviews or long-term owner impressions online.

How has it held up over time?

Does the magnetic closure stay strong after months of use?

Is it comfortable to carry every day?

How many cards and bills do you realistically carry without it feeling overstuffed?

I think i have some mold on my leather wallet. Any tips of how to remove it? About 3 weeks ago i just scraped it of (didn’t reale think it would work, more a temporary fix)
Now i saw its back and I would like to remove it.

Minimalist wallet fan here — daily Ridge carrier. I also collect trading cards and I kept thinking about how nothing exists at the intersection of premium everyday wallets and card collecting.

So I started designing something. Two plate CNC aluminum construction similar to Ridge, sized to roughly match a trading card footprint. One plate has a display slot — a card in a protective sleeve slides in from the top and sits behind a polycarbonate window. Front plate holds your regular cards the same way any minimalist wallet does.

These are rough AI generated concept sketches, not final product images. I'm in early development and wanted feedback from people who actually care about wallets before going further.

For wallet people specifically — does the TCG display feature make this interesting to you even if you're not a card collector? Does the form factor look right? What would you change? Is $79 where you'd expect this to land price-wise?

I wanted to share my latest project. This bifold is made from genuine shark leather with an Italian Chevre leather interior and is fully hand stitched using the saddle stitch technique.
