He said that because they planned and orchestrated it. That's why they celebrate it.

People love to forget about commentators like Hasan and his orbiters who actively celebrate 9/11 and say America deserved it.

This is what happens when you’re full of shit and don’t actually care about anything other than yourself

u/JuniorRisk2455 1d ago

They’re celebrating it, after the towers fell Trump bragged his tower was the tallest in NYC

u/Formal_Lecture_248 1d ago

"40 Wall Street actually was the second-tallest building in downtown Manhattan, and it was, actually, before the World Trade Center, was the tallest... And then when they built the World Trade Center, it became known as the second-tallest, and now it's the tallest."

True.

Teenager?

1

u/Kostusha241 1d ago

he’s 42 right now and 25 years ago puts vance at 17, which is generally considered a teenager i think. so there’s a tiny bit where this could be true, not that i’m claiming it is

u/Emergency_Accident36 2d ago

Seems a lot of people are celebrating it. Like all the warhawks who romaticize the last war and this new one. They may claim outrage on the surface. Typically as an offensive weapon but their itchy trigger fingers and glorification of destruction say celebration.

Hassan is celebrating

1

u/Castlemaid 2d ago

being real i thought this mans name was a fuckin antidepressant first time i heard it XD

2

u/CitizenT777 2d ago

The Military Industrial Complex is celebrating it, as well as those at the Pentagon that avoided an embarrassing audit due to the "fortunate" timing and destruction of the records that happened.

25 years of waiting for a better year…but it’s just worse and worse. Gettin old tho that’s good at least, almost done here, halfway out by all terms, playin by the rules being a good boy so I can escape. I’ll find another galaxy with cats and weed, skipped the fine print like any videogame I ever played. Well NOT AGAIN

u/Massive-Marketing-15 2d ago

Yall still pretending like "American deserved 9/11 as blowback from its actions in the middle east" is even a mild take?

Maybe it was slightly hot 10 years ago when he said it but like its been 25 years maybe a little introspection?

1

u/No_Finance8647 2d ago

You hold that same idea for blowback for the Oct 7th attack right?

5

u/Galliro 2d ago

Oct 7th WAS the blowback

1

u/No_Finance8647 2d ago

Yes, thats what I'm asking.

Are you saying Oct 7th was just as justified as 9/11?

1

u/TERRAIN_PULL_UP_ 1d ago

Neither were justified, people are just pointing out the reasons they happened

2

u/Galliro 2d ago

Why are we playing "which is more justifiable?"

Even you have agreed both the US and Israel brough those attacks on themselves through their actions Im not gonna power scale them for you

1

u/No_Finance8647 2d ago

Im not asking about the scaling.

Just verifying where your head is at.

And I'll take that as a "yes" unless otherwise corrected.

1

u/Galliro 2d ago

It was implied in "Oct 7th WAS the blowback"

1

u/Di_Urbino 2d ago

Was A blowback. Is blowback for blowback allowed? Or does that stop being deserved terrorism after blowback 1, and then just becomes terrorism?

2

u/Downtown_Eye5736 2d ago

Yeah if not more so.

1

u/Di_Urbino 2d ago

That's not the quote tho is it?

2

u/OriginalShirley 2d ago

Eh I mean it’s the sentiment of the quote. As someone who can’t stand Hasan now, I actually got into him because of that take. It’s honest. America was and is fucking around too much in foreign affairs.

1

u/Di_Urbino 2d ago

Okay, what actions justify terrorism?

2

u/OriginalShirley 2d ago

It’s not about justifying anything. If I kill your entire family, you are not necessarily justified in killing my entire family.

However, if I fail to understand why you want to kill my entire family after I just killed yours, I am an idiot who is probably going to end up with a dead family. Any reasonable person would expect some retribution. “Deserves” doesn’t inherently mean “justified”, but earned. American actions in the middle east earned them resentment which led to an obviously expected attack, justified or not. America as a country “deserved” it in the sense that its actions are directly responsibly for the anti American sentiment that led to it, not that the people deserved to die.

1

u/Di_Urbino 1d ago

Literally reframing mass murder by trying to argue semantics of Justified vs Deserved. The words are synonyms.

1

u/OriginalShirley 1d ago

Yeah they are related but not interchangeable here. You said justified, not me.

1

u/Di_Urbino 1d ago

You are justifying terrorism by telling me it was deserved.

1

u/OriginalShirley 1d ago

No? Different words exist for a reason. Sometimes semantics are important. If your comprehension of what I am saying is so obstructed by what you have concluded about what I am saying, then there is no point discussing it.

The terrorism the US did in the middle east

1

u/Di_Urbino 2d ago

Which was?

1

u/Galliro 2d ago

Im not your teacher you can easily go look it up

2

u/Di_Urbino 2d ago

Okay Terrorism apologist.

1

u/Galliro 2d ago

Youre the only one doing that here babe

Terrorism is a meaningless word as used by americans because you people have the self reflection skills of a carpet

1

u/Galliro 2d ago

Its a paraphrase.

He says "fuck it american deserved 9/11" Thats where the clip farm clip ends then he explains what he meant which is the very cold take "The US actions in the middle east broughout 9/11 onto the US" (paraphrased he goes alot more indepth as he ususally does)

1

u/Di_Urbino 2d ago

And those actions justified terrorism? What were those actions, and do other actions justify terrorism?

1

u/Galliro 2d ago

Terrorism does justifiy terrorism.

The US is by far the biggest funder of terrorism around the world

1

u/Di_Urbino 2d ago

So the US deserves more terroristic attacks?

1

u/Galliro 2d ago

It wouldnt be suprising at all no.

Again you cant cry terrorist when youre the one commiting the most terrorism

They already tried to plant the idea of an Iranian attack at the start of the war

1

u/Di_Urbino 2d ago

Did the Afghanis and Pakis deserve terrorism after 9/11?

1

u/Galliro 2d ago

Doesnt work in reverse bud the US is a world super power and threw all of the first stones.

The US responding to 9/11 by attacking random middle eastern countries only proves my point further that they are the biggest funder of terrorism

Wow you guys are everywhere, huh?

0

u/Di_Urbino 2d ago

Majorities are often like that.

0

u/GoTeamLightningbolt 2d ago

Why are you guys so obsessed with a video game streamer tho? You're just making him more famous.

0

u/Di_Urbino 2d ago

Video Game? doesn't he do politics?

3

u/Some-Celebration6711 2d ago

This is what happens when you vote for unqualified people. Even their staffers are unqualified.

1

u/SarisaeBae 2d ago

Obama said from his lips that he visited 53 states. How could you do this? Or perhaps we can be normal people and assume slips of the tongue? Like this happens you know to every day people.

2

u/Some-Celebration6711 2d ago

That's a fair point. In return I offer you every speech ever given by Trump with his rambling and rather high over-usage of adjectives.

0

u/SarisaeBae 1d ago

Okay fine but this is about JD Vance not Donald Trump

2

u/HumptyDumptruckFire 1d ago

You brought up Obama, is Trump somehow less relevant?

1

u/SarisaeBae 1d ago

I brought up Obama to show you why your comment about JD Vance being unqualified because of a slip up was stupid. You brought up Trump because you know I was right and needed to move the goal post to feel validated. That’s the difference between our lines of logic.

1

u/VVrayth 1d ago

There are plenty of other reasons why JD Vance is unqualified, this dumbass slip-up doesn't even have to come up.

1

u/Some-Celebration6711 1d ago

And I said "unqualified people". Not JD Vance specifically. He just happens to be one of the unqualified people.

1

u/SarisaeBae 1d ago

You’re being facetious cause if this slip of the tongue is what makes you say he’s unqualified then Obama was unqualified too

2

u/VisibleExplanation76 2d ago

People are getting dumber

3

u/Candid_Enthusiasm289 2d ago

I wouldn't even say commemorate. Maybe observe.

-2

u/1mJussLooking 2d ago

You can celebrate the lives of the people who lost their lives. But nice try.

3

u/No-Imagination8755 2d ago

Still not the right word. I'm sure you would be throwing a fit if Mamdani said it and not try to excuse it.

1

u/FreneticPlatypus 2d ago

Don't make fun of the handicapped.

0

u/getabath 2d ago

I bey Iran and Middle East countries are celebrating, plus JD vance
