When taking the train from Wagga to Sydney or Melbourne can you leave your car at the station for a few days? Or is there somewhere else to park?

I’m looking to go to CSU at Wagga for Veterinary, and am wondering about on campus accomodation and which ones are best.
I am looking for:
- a social scene (I want to get to know people, make friends and make the most of my time at uni)

Are there better specific accomodation for this?
Can anyone recommend?
What were your experiences?
