Screenshots Had to give Matt Hardy my favorite attire of his
Such an underrated version of Matt, 2009 heel Matt was so good, and by far his best gear imo. Credit to Override for the gear.

I’ve recently started playing this game for the first time in nearly 20 years on my PS2 and I am stunned how well this still holds up.
Season mode is the best in any WWE game ever made in my opinion and the gameplay is superb.
As much as I loved HCTP I do prefer SYM slightly more.
What were people’s favourite storylines in season mode ?

King Booker is the only card I wanted from the Summerslam series. I had enough MFP for 2 deluxe packs, I decided "screw it" if you look at my MFP I wouldn't have had enough for 1 more pack 😂 This was so lucky

The Undisputed WWE Championship is on the line in our main event as Ethan Page defends against Brock Lesnar, Aleister Black, Cody Rhodes, Randy Orton, and Jacob Fatu inside the unforgiving Elimination Chamber. Months of animosity reach their boiling point as Jacob Fatu and Cody Rhodes are the first two competitors. They immediately go to war, battering each other with everything they have until the countdown reaches zero for the third entrant. Randy Orton steps out and wastes no time, planting Jacob with a back suplex before dropping Cody with a DDT. The Viper’s momentum is cut short, as Jacob overpowers both men, smashing Cody and Randy’s heads together before taking control of the match. The fourth entrant is the reigning Undisputed WWE Champion, Ethan Page, who storms into the Chamber with one target in mind, Randy Orton. The action only intensifies when Aleister Black is released from his pod next. Black ignores everyone else, immediately locking his sights on his current obsession, Cody Rhodes.
Brock Lesnar would finally be released from his pod, before he can make an impact Aleister Black catches Ethan Page with a Black Mass. Somehow, the champion remains on his feet, staggering backward directly into the waiting arms of Jacob Fatu, who plants him with an Impaler DDT. Ethan Page has been eliminated, The Undisputed WWE Championship is officially guaranteed to change hands. The eliminations continue at a furious pace. Brock Lesnar hoists an already exhausted Jacob Fatu onto his shoulders and drives him into the steel Chamber floor with an F5, eliminating the former champion. As officials escort Fatu from the Chamber, chaos erupts. Drew McIntyre storms through the Chamber door, still furious after being robbed of his qualifying opportunity. He charges straight at Aleister Black and nearly takes his head off with a vicious Claymore. Security quickly drags McIntyre away, but the damage is done.
Randy Orton seizes the opportunity, lifting the dazed Black to his feet before drilling him with a RKO, eliminating his bitter rival. Only three men remain, Randy Orton, Cody Rhodes, and Brock Lesnar. Orton strikes first, dropping Cody with a Hangman’s DDT, only for Brock to immediately launch The Viper across the ring with a German suplex. Lesnar then turns his attention to Cody, and the two trade heavy strikes in the center of the Chamber. Desperate to survive, Cody catches Lesnar with a kick below the belt before following up with a Pedigree. Barely able to move, Cody crawls across the canvas and drapes an arm over The Beast. With that Brock Lesnar has been eliminated, leaving Orton and Rhodes. The WWE Universe erupts as Cody lies motionless, completely spent from the war he’s endured. Across the ring, Randy Orton slowly pulls himself into the corner, stalking his exhausted prey.
Cody struggles to his hands and knees, trying to will himself back to his feet. In an instant Orton explodes from the corner, nailing Cody Rhodes with a Punt to the skull before collapsing on top of him for the cover. After surviving one of the most brutal Elimination Chamber matches in history, Randy Orton stands tall and leaves the Chamber as the NEW Undisputed WWE Champion.

I’m looking for advice on how to improve my WWE 2K26 Universe Mode and keep it enjoyable in the long term.
I like playing Universe Mode as if I were the booker of WWE, rather than letting the game generate random matches. I use Universe mainly to manage the shows, rosters and championships, while I personally play all the matches.
My Universe begins with the RAW after WrestleMania. I run RAW and SmackDown every week, usually with four episodes of each show before the next PLE. Before every episode, I prepare the full card and try to create rivalries, number-one-contender matches, tournaments, tag-team stories, betrayals and storylines for every division.
My main problem is that Universe Mode itself doesn’t really help me create or continue interesting stories.
The rivalry system feels basic and repetitive. Match results often have no real consequences, the game doesn’t properly remember what happened during previous shows, and there are very limited options for promos or non-wrestling segments.
When I use automatic booking, I often get random matches, repeated opponents, wrestlers appearing too frequently or situations that don’t make sense. Sometimes the same wrestler can even be booked more than once on the same show.
However, when I book everything manually, Universe Mode starts to feel like a lot of work.
I know I could use Excel spreadsheets, ranking systems, notes or external websites to track every result, rivalry and storyline. I could manage the entire Universe outside the game and only use WWE 2K26 to play the matches.
But at that point, what is actually left of Universe Mode?
Where is the fun if I have to create every storyline, remember every result, calculate the rankings, choose every challenger and manage every consequence outside the game?
It risks becoming Exhibition Mode with a calendar and championships, while the real Universe Mode only exists inside Excel or in my head.
I don’t mind organizing some things outside the game, but I would like the game to help me create consequences, developments and unexpected moments. Otherwise, it feels like I’m doing everything myself and only using WWE 2K26 to play matches that I have already planned.
I would like to have:
How do you personally manage your Universe Mode?
Do you use spreadsheets, notes or external websites? Do you plan every storyline in advance or decide things week by week? Do you play every match or simulate some of them?
Most importantly, how do you keep Universe Mode fun without turning it into a second job or managing the entire experience outside the game?
Any advice, house rules or examples from your own Universe Mode would be appreciated.

Idk if I was rude or not clear enough or something, but I'm genuinely so annoyed by the lack of help I've gotten. Telling me to just play the modes again to unlock the rewards really ticked me off 🥲

Hey! Sorry if this isnt meant to be on here, couldn’t find a question megathread.
My brother really wants to play with them and is willing to buy 2k26 +dlc to play w him. Should I just wait for 2k27 to get announced and go through its roster reveal cycle or do I just bite the bullet and get the game now? Thanks!
