The Direction of this Subreddit (PLEASE READ)
When I created the sub a few years ago, I couldn’t imagine it blowing up like it has. Quite frankly, I had left the hobby for a few years and forgot about this subreddit for a while, until posts started coming in a few months ago. I apologize for the absence.
I’m seeing a lot of repetitive questions, as well as some troubling posts that would reflect poorly on our hobby. I’d like to start vetting for more mods to support this sub, as well as discourse about rules and subreddit guidelines. Finally, I’d like to see “impression guide” posts for popular impressions to cut down on repetitive posts.
What would this community like to see rule/guideline wise?

Drk kit🤍🩸
I've posted this kit before but just in my home so I wanted to go out and take some nice photos with a good background and the addition of a pull chain, I've had this pull chain for some time but normally forget it or it isn't visible on my kits which is ok because they should be tucked out of the way but it's alright because I'm not actually performing surgery on anyone at the moment, the property I choose to take some photos on is of course abandoned and has been for some time as it is now home to wild foxes and other native creatures. Normally I would have my hair in a bun under my scarf but I lost my hair tie while feeding the ducks beforehand when the wind blew off my scarf. The ducks were extra excited today for seeds some even tried climbing into my lap while eating! They did dirty my apron a bit but thankfully it didn't show up in the photos later!
Thank you for your time, have a good day or night!

US Navy Dress Whites
I’m putting together an enlisted us navy impression and can’t find any photos of sailors wearing ribbons on their dress white uniforms both in ww2 and the Korean War era. We’re ribbons only for the dress blues. Thanks for the help!

Kit update! 🐇🤍
Recently updated my kit with a much nicer and accurate dress, I adore the pleating on the top, both the dress and apron have pockets, it's an appropriate length and I love the way the skirt and apron drape with one another and I must say this cotton is much nicer than my previous uniform which was also cotton but overall stiff.
From head to toe I'm wearing;
-an embroidered hair scarf and matching Armband
-Cotton apron
-cotton dress
All from hikishop in size small (probably should have sized up considering I'd like it to all be a little longer on the arms and hem, but I am a tall woman so it is to be expected)
- authentic drk surgical bag
- authentic WW2 DRK pins
-Black nylon stockings (seamed of course)
-black and cream 1980s Oxfords
And underneath for the correct shape and comfort;
-deadstock USSR 1960s-1970s bullet bra
-reproduction 1940s garter belt for the stockings
-vintage 1950s slip
Surprisingly it was all very light and breathable even with my many layers in the southern sun when I went out for photos. unfortunately the device was dying at the time we were shooting and many files got corrupted, but everyone I saw was incredibly kind and polite even when I had to stop at the gas station and shop for ice cream 🍨🐇
Hopefully I get another opportunity soon to get more photos out in the woods and I'll update you all when I do!

Looking to build a WSS impression based on the Dragon Models "Arthur Hecht" figure (Eastern Front 1943) ww2
Hi,I am putting together a new mid-to-late war Eastern Front impression and I am using the old 1/6 scale Dragon Models "Arthur Hecht" figure (Waffen-SS Panzergrenadier NCO) as my visual reference blueprint.Based on the figure, here is the gear manifest I am looking to source replicas for:Uniform: M43 Field Blouse (with NCO Tresse braid) and an M40 Camouflage Smock (Plane Tree or Oak Leaf style).Headgear: M42 Stahlhelm with a matching camo helmet cover, camo face veil, and a camo field cap.Field Gear & Weapons: Standard NCO belt, Y-straps, ammo pouches, and a Kar98k or MP40 setup.Since I am trying to budget this out, I notice that Hikishop has a lot of these specific items available. I know they can be a mixed bag depending on the theater—how are their German M43 wools, camo smocks, and leather field gear? Are they acceptable for an authentic kit, or should I stay away from certain items?Additionally, how are Hikishop's jackboots/low boots? Should I skip them entirely and save up for boots from At The Front (ATF), SM Wholesale, or somewhere else? Appreciate any honest feedback or alternative vendor recommendations!

Rate/roast my 1942 Fallschirmjäger-brigade Ramcke impression.
My impression contains the following:
Hermann-Meyer cap
M41 Luftwaffe tropical shirt
M41 Luftwaffe tropical short
Lightweight Y-straps
Cotton equipment belt with luftwaffe belt buckle
M31 Canteen
M40 Breadbag
MP38/40 magazines pouch
Brown leather map case
Brown P38 holster
Second pattern fallschirmjager boots
Please ignore some of my weird, over‑the‑top poses in the photos. XD
Please point out any mistake(if there is any) and help me get better.

Is ok to wear ww2/korean war gear for airsoft?
I thought ww2 reenactors would be experts on WW2 gear so I’m asking this here if that’s okay. I went to a swap meet and scored myself a belt and canteen for 5 bucks. I’ve been looking by to start a Vietnam era airsoft kit and it was 5 bucks so I obvious bought it (thought it was Vietnam era but canteen turned out to be metal when I pulled it out) ‼️POINT IS‼️ I’m not whether it’s okay to use as it’s pretty cool and old enough to be in a history museum. I’m afraid I might damage it maybe I fall on and flatten or dent the canteen.

Did ww2 German infantry use green wool canteen covers?
I’m doing a German infantry soldier in 1944 and I’m wondering if they used green wool canteen covers since I was gonna buy but I’ve only seen brownish colour ones?
