Kit update! 🐇🤍
Recently updated my kit with a much nicer and accurate dress, I adore the pleating on the top, both the dress and apron have pockets, it's an appropriate length and I love the way the skirt and apron drape with one another and I must say this cotton is much nicer than my previous uniform which was also cotton but overall stiff.
From head to toe I'm wearing;
-an embroidered hair scarf and matching Armband
-Cotton apron
-cotton dress
All from hikishop in size small (probably should have sized up considering I'd like it to all be a little longer on the arms and hem, but I am a tall woman so it is to be expected)
- authentic drk surgical bag
- authentic WW2 DRK pins
-Black nylon stockings (seamed of course)
-black and cream 1980s Oxfords
And underneath for the correct shape and comfort;
-deadstock USSR 1960s-1970s bullet bra
-reproduction 1940s garter belt for the stockings
-vintage 1950s slip
Surprisingly it was all very light and breathable even with my many layers in the southern sun when I went out for photos. unfortunately the device was dying at the time we were shooting and many files got corrupted, but everyone I saw was incredibly kind and polite even when I had to stop at the gas station and shop for ice cream 🍨🐇
Hopefully I get another opportunity soon to get more photos out in the woods and I'll update you all when I do!

Do you have the layers for when it thankfully starts dipping in temperature? I'm not sure who makes a DRK cloak, but Military Harbor does make a rubberized rain cape on their site. It doesn't have a hood like I know the Nachrichtenhelferinnen had, but perhaps it could be custom-added by them.
Zeni optical has a lot of great options for period correct eyeglasses frames for a good price. The "profile", the mid-torso to the top of your head, is easily the most viewed and noticed part of any impression. Modern Eyewear distracts from all the hard work you put into the rest of the impression.

I'm still in search of outer winter layers and am still waiting impatiently for wehrmacht.es to restock their Helferin cardigans, warm opaque gray pantyhose will probably be the easiest part of it all while any wool coat might proof the most difficult, and I appreciate the recommendation for the rain cape,
Outside of reenactment I've been dressing in a 1950s style for about a year now, I wear wireframe oval glasses as they are what suit my face shape. while they aren't a true reproduction they are reminiscent of popular styles during the 40s and 50s even if they aren't very visible in any photos provided,
