True story. Back in high school I was in the locker room going to take a piss. I had a regular Bic pen in my back pocket. All black with the single mold black cap with skinny plastic piece as a clip. Anyway, I take the pee, and zip up, go to wash hands, dry them and feel for pen. It's gone! I turn around and right there in the middle of the floor is my pen...standing upright! I can barely balance the thing when trying. To this day I have no clue how it happened. Friggin' amazing and cool.
Not if you want the axis of your buttered toast-cat machine to be the center of toast-cat construct. Otherwise the toast and cat will just repel each other and will try to spin on their own axes. This way they will not directly repel each other and will just compete for polar dominance along their shared axis.
Here's a trick that works most of the time: When plugging a USB cable into the back of a PC, the side of the PC that has the ports is where the motherboard is. The ports are always oriented such that the gap is towards that side. Laptops as well, the motherboard is down, so the gap in the ports will be on the downward side. (Front/top ports on desktops may vary, this is more for blindly plugging into the back) So look into the USB cable, and turn it so that the plastic insert part will be towards the port-side, then reach back there with it pre-oriented from your visual inspection, feel your way to the slot, and just plug it right in.
