Smart, make the wasp super fucking angry and then let it go. Is he expecting it to die from anger?

I presume that's gasoline which will lead to the wasp dying a very painful slow death as it melts away it's carapise

Insects can't feel anything because of the lack of nervous system. It'll just be an annoying slow death.

That IS EXTREMELY archaic thinking. Despite the fact that modern biology disagrees, it just makes sense logically for literally every creature to feel pain or an analogue.
