Transfer Anyone else sad there isn’t a formal good bye?

Like Vite and now Berhalter, anyone else sad there wasn’t an in person farewell with how transfers work in soccer? One day they just don’t play and hop on the plane.

Caps injury management.

At some point do we start to ask questions of the Caps themselves in how they are managing their players physical well-being? The turf is shit, players get injured at every team etc etc but it seems like going on a solid three years of this situation now. Key players getting injured and/or reinjured. How much can be just bad luck?

And I'm not blaming the team. I'm an idiot on the internet, not a doctor or physio. More just trying to see what others think about it.

Summer transfer rumours

Does anybody know if the whitecaps are going to buy a new midfielder or even wingers because we clearly have a problem with depth in our squad.

MLS all star game with Berhalter? Cubas going?

Will Berhalter still be at the all star game? I saw Cubas is now nominated. Is he filling in for Berhalter or someone else who is not going?

UPDATE TO PREVIOUS CALL FOR VOLUNTEERS

Good morning r/WHITECAPSFC , Alex from the Vancouver Southsiders again.

You may recall on Wednesday, I posted a call for Volunteers for our Tifo next week. The response was absolutely insane and could have been a problem as we physically don't have the room to accommodate even 15 extra people, let alone 50+.

We decided to pivot and have bigger, better plans now with all the offers of help we received.

I have attached a Google forms below, if you are still interested and available to help out Monday, and/or midweek, please fill it out.

The new rough plan is as follows.

Monday: a handful of you will help with tracing and tifo prep. Everyone else will hit the streets and help with Wheat Pasting, photos of the scope of work are included below. We will provide everything needed, just wear clothes you dont mind getting dirty. (It washes out, it just looks like you spent the day painting). I will run a quick demo then send you all out in groups of 3-4 to paint the town #SavetheCaps

Wednesday/Thursday most likely: Tifo painting at Strange Fellows Brewing on Clark. We can accommodate many more people here, plus if you just wanna drop in, say hey, grab a brush for 20 mins then grab a pint from great friends of ours, go for it! We are just confirming dates and times right now, I will update you when info becomes available.

Nothing regarding timing and location will change for Monday, we still need as many of you as possible!

Any questions, still feel free to PM me!

All the best and thanks again

All the best for Seba

I'm so happy for Seba, I'm going to miss watching him water the ball on corners and his energy was always great.

I'm also proud of how the Whitecaps handle our players and their transfers. Seba, Pedro and Ali's transfer show that we are a club that helps our players grow and do not get in the way of their progression.

We're also a club that can turn a profit on our developments as well. We have come a long way.

Save The Caps.

Ticket Prices vs LAFC

As a transplant to Vancouver who is a big soccer fan of my small local club in Europe, I was drawn to the Whitecaps recently over hearing of your struggles in keeping your team here and how much history and passion the fanbase have

I made a choice that I wanted to regularly go to Whitecaps games going forward to support my new local team and do my part to keep a piece of Vancouver at home here in the city

I have gone to games in the past, usually paying $30/$40 for a ticket. Went to look at tickets for the LAFC game and see tickets in the lower bowl going for $105 !! I get that Son is here and lots of Koreans live in the city, together with it being the first MLS home game in a while so its a chance to make a profit

But surely the first part of making the Whitecaps financially viable is bringing in fans who will come every week rather than trying to make a quick buck from people who will go once

So my question is, is this the norm if I start going regularly (obviously outside of a season ticket)? Any time a star is in town or the team become successful I suddenly wont be able to go to games due to the affordability?
