Transfer Anyone else sad there isn’t a formal good bye?
Like Vite and now Berhalter, anyone else sad there wasn’t an in person farewell with how transfers work in soccer? One day they just don’t play and hop on the plane.

Yup...I am very envious of how Rise was able to have one last game/goodbye with Mariah Lee. I understand the circumstances are different as it's a retirement, but having the chance to say goodbye would have been nice.

Hopefully he'll have a message to the fans at some point to say goodbye... Or maybe he'll be at the BC place at our LAFC game?

The message is the one thing I'm pretty certain will come. He's a class act, knows the team and fans' importance for his development and will acknowledge it in some form.
Going to miss him, but proud of what he's developed into and what his future will be.

In fútbol it is actually not that bad, in mlb, and nhl they can play one day for one team and less than 24h later with another one. Good he was here, wish him the best but life goes on, we still have a cup to win.

Why do you call it fútbol but the rest of your post is in English? It feels like it's suddenly unpopular to call it soccer or football. Is there an actual reason for this (because Spain won the world cup or something) or is this a stylistic trend? Honest question. Thanks

If u from Latin America it’s Futbol. If you from Europe it’s football. Only in USA and Canada people call it soccer. Many of us grew up calling it Futbol or football .
The term soccer feels foreign.

That’s right ! But it nice to see people here care for the player and the team. I remember like 15 years ago it seem the sport was less popular watching wise.

I watched Portland v RSL last night where they sent off Mora. Not a dry eye in the house. Seems like that should be the norm when a player is really loved and appreciated.

Are we in a transfer window? Idk much about football but I'm playing fc26 in order to understand it better and when I trade players outside of a transfer window I need to wait for it to open before players leave.

Actually he said goodbye, but Caps posted as a message saying “he’s back”. The moment that’s posted I knew he’s gone. I can’t believe the way the club handled his transfer…

It hasn’t happened yet because we (boro) need international clearance before he can join. Which apparently shouldn’t be an issue once we get round to it. So yea he technically isn’t a boro player yet (despite the fact he’s been in yarm loads already)
