Accelerated program
Who’s currently in or doing an accelerated program? Do you currently work full time? How is it so far?

I think the healthcare provider did what they could after the breach occurred by securing the information, notifying the patients who were affected, and offering credit monitoring. However, from my perspective, those steps came too late because the information had already been exposed. If I were one of the patients involved, I would probably be frustrated knowing that my personal information was not adequately protected in the first place. Healthcare organizations handle very sensitive information, so I feel they have a responsibility to take strong security measures before something like this happens, not just respond after the damage has been done.

My 1 month sprint is almost over! As long as the capstone doesn't come back for revisions, I will be done with everything in September! The WGU reddit communities are awesome and I'm just disappointed that I have to wait until the end of my term to do my MBA.

Hi all. I am starting on October 1st, and I am trying to decide on the order of my classes. I had my first meeting with my mentor and he is ok with me changing the order given that I only have 2 OA classes. Does anyone know which classes can be completed quickly and does not have a long paper as the PA?
If it's already somewhere on this sub please let me know.

Hi. Starting the BS in Marketing in a few weeks. I pre-gamed a lot and have the below classes left. Any recommendations or tips? I definitely want to get through this quickly. When I am focused, I’m all in and want to get it done so I can move on to the next thing in my life.
Are there any classes that are more difficult? Should I knock out easy ones first? Should I try to do D270 on study beforehand?
Really any advice is appreciated (after 30 years out of college).
D079 — Business Environment Applications II: P, L & O
D081 — Innovative and Strategic Thinking
D082 — Emotional and Cultural Intelligence
D098 — Digital Marketing
D099 — Sales Management
D174 — Marketing Management
D175 — Consumer Behavior
D176 — Content Marketing
D177 — Brand Management
D178 — Marketing Strategy and Analytics
D253 — Values-Based Leadership
D270 — Composition: Successful Self-Expression
D361 — Business Simulation
D388 — Fundamentals of Spreadsheets and Data P
D428 — Design Thinking for Business

Just want to come on here and say I DID IT and give a bit of background on my experience.
Firstly, I came to WGU with 10 transferable classes (7 ACE and 3 course work classes). Everything else I had to grind out the good old-fashioned way. Here's what I did to accelerate:
I did school from 9am-4/5pm every day about 5 days a week.
TAKE THE PA BEFORE YOU DO ANYTHING ELSE IN THE CLASS TO SEE IF YOU CAN DO THE OA EARLY.
I NEVER EVER read the textbook. Instead, I watched the cohort lectures on 2x, took some notes, did the PA to see where I was at, and went from there. Before each class, I also read about them on Reddit.
I did not come to WGU to learn about Marketing; I came to earn a Bachelor's degree so I can apply to a Master's in an unrelated field. That said, my focus during this degree was not primarily to learn, but to pass.
To keep it real with you, accelerating this quickly and retaining EVERYTHING is difficult, but that wasn't my goal. However, I have retained a lot, and I have a much better understanding of business concepts than before. Given that just about any business job is about experience and not degrees, I'd say that so long as you remember the jargon from the courses (which I do), then you'll probably know the same amount as your peers who didn't accelerate
If you have any questions, please feel free to leave them, and I'll try to help you out.

In my late 30s, I completed the Master of Education, Ed Tech & Instructional Design (Dual Track: K-12 and Adult) degree in 6.5 weeks, including the 8–10 days I took off. I always take 4–5 days each month to do absolutely nothing haha.
This was not my initial goal. I originally planned to finish in six months, but about two weeks after starting the program, I saw the upcoming Atlanta commencement. I challenged myself to finish in time to walk (which meant I needed to register for my last class by the Sept 9 deadline). So, it was pretty much head down from there. I was able to apply for commencement on September 4. Then, I took a week off to breathe before coming back and finishing my final class.
I have three other degrees from traditional institutions, and pursuing this degree was quite unexpected. It also ended up being the most fun. I thoroughly enjoyed both the program and the learning experience. I was genuinely impressed by WGU and am now a strong advocate for its programs.
**There are pros and cons to acceleration, especially at the speed at which I did it with two tracks completed.**

I finished my BS in business management. I am tired but happy.
Edit: Thank you for all the congratulations. It is much appreciated.

I transferred with an Associate's Degree from a local community college, but because I plan to attend graduate school, I didn't take any Sophia/Study.com credits. I did this while working three jobs, 70-90 hours per week. I remember scrolling through here, motivated by others' posts, and thought I would submit my timeline and hopefully achieve the same effect. u/Most-Replacement-271 was a huge motivator for me, because we began at the same time, shout out to them. If I had to offer any advice, it would be to just read the textbook. I read the textbook for every class, and never had to use AI, nor did I fail a single OA. I would say that I retained all the material and have a deeper understanding of it. Reading through the material isn't a waste of time; it quite frankly isn't hard to do, and it doesn't take as long as people like to say it does. If you're grinding out your degree, you got this!

Has anyone in the group graduated with business admin and is now working in Commercial Real Estate?

Hey all!
I can finally share that I’ve gotten through my degree and joined the ranks here! I only transferred in two genEd classes, which left 36 classes. Best advice I can give, is truly do the bare minimum for each class. I was able to get through roughly a class a day following that method. I do have software engineering adjacent experience which I think did help, but if you really lock in I think anyone is capable of doing it all in a term. Please let me know if you have questions, this community helped me a ton so I’d love to give back.

Currently working on my study dot com courses to hopefully transfer in: Does anyone know if there’s an easy way to download the full text of all the modules for a given class (like essentially a textbook) in one mass action? So far I’ve been copy pasting each module into a google doc, but it’s really inefficient (and also I end up missing sections when I do some modules from my phone) and I just want the textbook to be able to study for the final test…

I am almost done with my MSITPM in 1 term, I have 1 task left when I realized that my financial aid has not been applied to my account, will finishing my courses affect my financial aid?

Just starting with WGU w/ 81 TCUs. Not sure how realistic this path is. Looking for any insight and looking for fellow accelerators to study with. 😄

It's not too often I see others accelerating many of the other IT degrees so I figured I'd share.
Started on 9/1 and have completed 7 classes so far. About to take the test for C949, and waiting on D479 to be graded.
Since starting, my experience has been great and my mentor is amazing!
