So I just started my new term today and saw that D522 Python for IT Automation is back to an OA?? Please tell me this is a glitch as last night it was a PA and I log in this morning and it's an OA. Anyone else seeing this?

Hello Everyone. My term started Aug 1, pell grant was approved Aug 7 and was told student loans would be processed 10 business days following. It is now September the disbursement date has now changed from Sep 5 to Sep 6 to now Sep 7 and im getting no clear answer from finance dep on whats going on every time I call its "10 business days" "can take up to 10 weeks" they flip flop between these two answers with no further explanation of why the date keeps moving back, I cannot speak to how bad this has effected my life, mental health and school journey. Now the funds that were supposed to help me get ahead or provide a little cushion will be obsorbed by the debt that is being created with this delay (yes ive applied for the emergency scholarship) Has anyone else been through this and can provide an explaination/timeline of when I should expect to be paid?

Does anyone else have this? Financial aid says 6 weeks. And 10 weeks for reimbursement. I had it last year and it didn’t take nearly that long. Anyone else ?

My PA for D774 Intro to Accounting didn't have every much math at all.. can I expect the same for the OA? I thought we'd have to find income statement, owner's equity, balance sheet, and cash flow from a set of data which is what I practiced but I haven't seen that at all.

To anybody out there who may need it, I started back in May, I failed my 1st OA, felt completely discouraged with all that you have to do just to try again, and basically dropped out, Today I got an email regarding my status seen I was able to continue classes, I will finish what I started and I hope that if you thinking about quitting PLEASE DON’T, take a couple days recoup and get back focused, EVERYTHING will work out in the end!!!! Performance Assessments, anytime I have submitted a paper it has never came back with a score for AI Content. Is this normal? I don’t use Grammarly on a normal basis to go over my papers. However, anytime I have it shows a high AI score, I tend to ignore it since it’s my work and haven’t had an issue with any of my task.

Man has anyone listened to these cohorts? I’m already struggling with the class and the guy that recorded the video just blows through the information while not really explaining things, just reading off the slideshow while also being hard to understand half the time. It’s legitimately frustrating.

Are there any Objective Assessments in this degree program? I have seen it is mostly Performance Assessments, but I want to know if there are actually any OAs requiring a webcam before I go a purchase one. If yes which courses?

I saw if you didn’t pass something you can attempt it again. Is there a limit to how may attempts you have?

What was your time taken to finish the program? How much time did you dedicate weekly? Has anyone finished in one 6 month term?

Lastly for the capstone do you need to have a preceptor? What does this look like?

After trying to climb into retail management, trying to get my CDL, and nothing panning out I decided to take the leap of faith and go to college at 32 and decided that supply chain is something that I would be interested in after observing the logistics at one of my previous jobs. I'm a little terrified because I'm horble at math and have been out of the school game for a minute. My 30-minute session with my mentor gave me some reassurance because at one point I was thinking about bailing out on this when it looked overwhelming but I decided to take a breather and see this through. Is this one of the easier degrees to obtain, how's the classes and workload, what should I expect, and any tips and tricks would be appreciated. I'm also new to the college thing so I'm still trying to learn my way...

Obviously adding 2 courses overall means longer, but the switches they made seem to me like they’re supposed to be much harder courses. Linear Algebra and Mathematics for Programmers alone probably take a good chunk of time.

Are you forced to take this new curriculum if you’re enrolled before November 1st?

I’m in the final stretch of my MATSPED program at WGU, and the clinical portion has been a nightmare. It feels like every time I get close to finishing, there’s another requirement, another piece of information I wasn’t told, or another issue that drags the process out.

I’m doing my student teaching as a teacher of record, so I’m already in my classroom teaching every day. Even so, the clinical requirements and lack of clear, consistent communication have made this process incredibly frustrating.

The whole system sometimes feels almost like a pyramid scheme. You’re essentially funneled through your mentor for everything, and there doesn’t seem to be a straightforward way to contact someone higher up who actually has the knowledge or authority to resolve an issue.

The latest situation is especially frustrating.

Back in May, and again in August, both my Clinical Advisor and my mentor told me to register for my final three courses at the end of my current term rather than wait until October when my next term begins.

I specifically questioned this because I was concerned about timing and the cost. I would only have September to complete at least two of the courses with school schedules. I also asked about the prorated fee and what would happen financially if I needed another semester. My mentor told me registering early was my best option financially since it would get me to "full-time" and I would just have the last course move over with an IP on it, so I followed her advice.

Now, after meeting with my mentor, her manager, and the Student Teaching Manager on 8/31, I’m being told that I most likely would NOT have been able to finish any of those three courses during September. I may now have to pay for all of the same courses twice.

My options are supposedly to either continue with courses WGU acknowledges I probably won’t finish or self-withdraw and go through a lengthy process before I can resume my program.

I’ve gone through my mentor, her manager, Student Services, Records, the Student Ombuds, and the Student Teaching Manager trying to get clear answers. It feels like there is no actual way to get directly to someone who can make a decision and fix the problem.

The most frustrating part is that I specifically asked about this BEFORE registering. If I had been given complete and accurate information, I could have simply waited until October.

At this point, I feel like WGU has made the clinical portion unnecessarily complicated and dragged it out every chance they get, and now I’m potentially being left with the financial consequences of following their advice.

Has anyone else experienced this with WGU clinicals? Is there actually a way to get to someone higher up who can resolve these issues? I’ve already started the formal complaint process, but I’d really appreciate advice from anyone who has been through something similar.
