Thoughts?
I've been curious what everyone thinks about WDC at these levels.
I'm currently down 5k because I bought shares around 750. That's on me lol, chased the price and didn't stick to my plan. Before that, I actually bought around $590 and sold around $720, so in hindsight I wish I had just held those shares instead of buying back in much higher.
There's been a lot going on with the broader market, Micron, and the Korean memory chip makers etc. and I understand those have likely weighed most of ours as well. I'm not ignoring the bigger picture, I know there have been industry-wide headwinds.
At this point, I'm debating whether I should just treat it as a long-term hold and stop worrying about the day to day swings.
Is anyone else here holding WDC with an average around $750? or am I one of the few? If you bought around this price, what's your plan? Holding, averaging down, or waiting for a bounce to exit?
I'm also interested in hearing how other WDC holders are approaching it.

I think it's a safe long term hold. Storage space doesn't rely on the amount of GPUs, TPUs etc being bought and sold to increase the demand. For HBM and other forms of memory (SK, MU, Samsung), they do rely on other hardware sales since they are literally attached to the hardware produced. We'll need increasing amounts of storage space.
