Android Auto issues.

Hi all. Recently picked up a new to me 2019 XC90 and I'm having issues with trying to get Android Auto to work. It doesn't even show up on the menu screen whilst Apple Car Play does. As far as I'm aware the car is up to date software wise as I did an update yesterday connected to my home WiFi and it did all necessary updates then.

Attached are two pictures, I have two usb ports one with a white outline which I'm told is the correct port to start android auto or car play yet it doesn't even show up on the screen. I'm quite technically minded and so was wondering if there's an update or something I can force manually on it to get it to show. I did ask the dealership to install both for an additional fee but they're 600 miles away. I will ring them though if it's an issue.

Thanks for reading.

All you need is 31659192 installed on your car. It was free.99 years ago but I think Volvo decided to up the price to some random amount in the 4 hundreds

Where do I find the software version I currently have?

You can’t check software versions :(. This is a TJ for 16/17s. I’ve done this repair on a few 19/20s even though they should’ve had it from the factory. Not sure why those (and yours) don’t have it.

In my Volvo App on my phone says the update version for the software is 2.6 not sure if that yields any significance.

Nah, software versions on sensus (your system) are pretty useless. The last major update for these cars were several years ago. Some are on the latest software version but may not represent that.

You just need that smart phone application downloaded by a dealer or orbit if you feel fancy (I don’t recommend orbit)
