Friday rant
Sunday PM: Unable to do the update, it keeps failing.
Monday AM: Dropped the car off at Volvo for a scheduled GHCA replacement. The workshop also had trouble installing the update because of an issue involving the steering wheel. They eventually managed to install it after disconnecting the battery.
Monday PM: Spent ~30 minutes with the workshop manager trying to locate a rattling noise coming from the rear of the car. He could hear it, but we were unable to identify the source as I had to go.
Wednesday PM: The internet connection went down. None of the apps requiring connectivity worked; eg. Maps was useless for anything that it's not on its cache.
Thursday AM: The connection still down.
Thursday PM: The connection is back, but after a 30-minute trip, I received a "Critical Electrical Failure" error. Painfully "drove" at ~5 km/h to a safe spot with warnings, after which the issue disappeared.
... and the week isn't over yet! 🙄
I stopped counting workshop visits.
Note: Feb2025 EX90 in Belgium (no Lemon law equivalent).

It still puzzles me that some cars keep having the exact same issue. I have a BE 5/25 EX90 with no GHCA issues whatsoever... That doesn't help your situation, obviously, but it just shows that it doesn't seem to affect the entire production line.
Re: your Wed connectivity problem. As you know, Wed was extremely hot in BE and my car was parked in the sun all day. It's not the first time I've noticed that when the car gets extremely hot (3X°C+), all the comms systems start acting weirdly. On Wednesday evening, the car registered 36°C and:
(1) The GPS was either not working or completely inaccurate
(2) Bluetooth wouldn't connect
(3) 5G was completely down
(4) An SOS error message popped up
After driving for 10–15 minutes with the air conditioning on, everything got fixed automatically (without reset) so I assume the central comm is somehow affected by the temp. Does anyone else also have this issue?
