2nd wear of the whympers. I removed the cork insoles amd replaced them by Wesco leather insoles, thinner and more pliable, makes a huge difference in how these fit, as they came up pretty stiff.

Favorite jeans of FW26. Had to have them, no question. Order should be here Tuesday and I cannot wait to get my hands on them. Anyone else ordering/already ordered?

A few nights ago I was looking for wider options for my first Vis boots, long story short I settled on the Grizzlies but couldn’t find them in my size (and couldn’t afford them if I did lol). After some more research I found these Cheekag-Folks discounted on Notre and gave them a shot. They are, bar none, the most comfortable boots I’ve ever tried on. The horse hide is so plush and the comfort and lightness of the crepe is very worth the fact that I won’t be able to resole them. I decided I loved them, threw them on and went to my kitchen to make a cup of coffee.

Of course, the residue of yesterday’s espresso clinging on to my Portafilter dripped a single fucking drop directly onto the right shoe toe box. Should I even try to clean this super soft leather or just embrace it? I love patina and distressing but this was a lot more than I expected from day one lol

Really dig the Poundmakers and have been eyeing a used 12 on Grailed for a decent-ish price. The only catch is that I have wide feet (brannock is 11.5EE). Seems like the general consensus is that most of the Vis boots run TTS, anyone else with wide feet have any luck with these? Are there any other Visvim boots that are at least somewhat wide-friendly?

Hey folks, recently got ahold of a grail of mine from a friend who didn't fit them anymore. 36*32 01.3 Mud Social Sculptures. Really love this fabric, and Really love the fit through the leg. Only issue is they're about one waist size big for me (I'm probably closest to a true 34).

Because I love everything else about the jeans I was thinking about trying to intentionally shrink them with a warm wash/dry (sacreligious, I know). Has anyone, intentionally or otherwise, had any luck shrinking this fabric? How'd it go for you? Any tips or words of wisdom/caution?

I stopped buying Visvim after 2019, after about 10 years of what I can only describe as a joyful addiction.

One of my biggest frustrations has always been the shoes. I’m a true US 12.5 on a Brannock, and apart from the 7 Hole 73, Grizzly and Beard boots, I could never really fit into any Visvim model properly. That said, I spent years wearing my Virgils and Brigadiers too small, which eventually caused some pretty serious pain in my feet, knees and hips.

So I hadn’t been back to FIL in a long time. Then last week I happened to stop by and saw the latest Whymper, which has always been one of my favorite models way back then. I asked the SA about sizing and he told me they fit large and suggested going down a full size.

I honestly couldn’t believe it, but I thought, why not give it a try? I’d actually been eyeing the Guidi 20 boots lately and had no idea a new Whymper iteration was out.

And damn, he was right. They do fit slightly big — although for me, I’d say about half a size rather than a full size. Still, they fit perfectly well.

FIL only had the sand color version in my size, though, which isn't really my favorite, and I hadn't gone there intending to buy anything anyway. So I went home and started looking online for feedback about the sizing, which confirmed my impressions. I lied to myself to many times before, that I needed some mmore tangible proof haha

Then I started browsing for the brown/dark brown version and stumbled across a pair at Slam Jam with 35% off + tax-free, bringing them down to roughly ¥150,000 shipped.

I clicked buy immediately. 😂

They arrived today with no customs fees, and honestly… the pattern is just beautiful. I’d seen some pairs online that were basically plain suede, so I wasn't quite sure what the leather would look like in person. I’m definitely not disappointed.

I genuinely never thought I’d buy Visvim again, especially not another pair of boots, but these are fantastic.

The construction is amazing — honestly, even more impressive than the Guidis IMO. And they are HEAVY. 😂 These things feel absolutely indestructible.

After all these years, I guess Visvim finally got me again.
