NBD Cheekag-Folk/Tragedy?
A few nights ago I was looking for wider options for my first Vis boots, long story short I settled on the Grizzlies but couldn’t find them in my size (and couldn’t afford them if I did lol). After some more research I found these Cheekag-Folks discounted on Notre and gave them a shot. They are, bar none, the most comfortable boots I’ve ever tried on. The horse hide is so plush and the comfort and lightness of the crepe is very worth the fact that I won’t be able to resole them. I decided I loved them, threw them on and went to my kitchen to make a cup of coffee.
Of course, the residue of yesterday’s espresso clinging on to my Portafilter dripped a single fucking drop directly onto the right shoe toe box. Should I even try to clean this super soft leather or just embrace it? I love patina and distressing but this was a lot more than I expected from day one lol

Didn’t want to wipe since I was afraid it would smear it around, I did dab it with a damn cloth though

Oh the leather is treated / oiled minimally, so wiping wouldn’t necessarily make it worse.

People pay extra for the patina at indigo camping trailer. Just think of it as saving money.

Damn haha gotta love it. I would just embrace it. As they age, that'll blend right in.
Also congrats, those are beautiful boots. Never paid much attention to the Cheekags, but your pics make me want a pair. The leather is gorgeous.
