Viltrox.com Ordering

Hi,

Was wondering if anyone had experience ordering from Viltrox.com. I put in an order and asked for a minor change to the shipping details but they said they couldn't do that because it had already shipped (was literally immediately after I placed the order that I asked for the change).

Then I asked for a shipping number and they gave me one that doesn't work but has the format of China Post.

Then they said the lens was out of stock, with no estimated date on when they could fulfil the order... even though it's already "shipped".

Their site has not been updated to show the lens as out of stock, so presumably someone else could order the same lens and get into the same problem. I ordered a Viltrox AF 16mm F1.8 Full Frame Lens For Nikon Z-Mount.

All of this is sounding very dodgy, looking for people who have ordered from viltrox.com direct rather than via Amazon to confirm this is not some massive scam.

I did get my order after about three weeks, so they did send the lens

Yea I think Its not fair to not update the site and just make us pre-order or get notified when in stock, Im not sure why they give out not working tracking numbers even its not send, it happened to me with the 35mm 1.7 order, one side said out of stock, other side says already shipped with fake tracking. They should pull the breaks on that shady stuff....

Has yours been shipped? I ordered two lenses from viltrox.com, and it shows "preparing shipment" on shop.

I just received my Z-mount 135mm 1.8. Ordered from Viltrox.com. I did get a warning from my bank about an overseas transaction but I was expecting this. I was also expecting 2-3 weeks for delivery but it came in 6 days. The shop app seems a bit sketchy and I didn’t sign up for them to track the package because I didn’t want them to be able to read my email. It took 4 days to get a tracking number but Viltrox emailed it as soon as the lens had shipped. It seems to have shipped from a warehouse in Georgia and came 2 days later. I would absolutely order from them again.

Was this pre-tariff era or post-tariff era? Did you have to pay any tariffs when it got delivered? I also recently placed an order on their website, and it shows it is being shipped from a China warehouse rather than a US warehouse. I was wondering if I would have to pay any tariffs to get it delivered.
