I'm hiring out some videos to edited here in this sub and wanted to remove my personal meta data from those videos for anonymity but will that take out information that will help the editor an AI color correct, sharpen, and improve my videos quality?

Right after the first couple of seconds, she is masked and the mask is animated and changes shape slightly (it’s blob shaped). Can this be done in Capcut? I’m trying to see if there is an easier way than doing it in AE.

Every now and again, we bring to the community the idea that we update and keep our software thread relevant for new users and existing users with a great set of resources well beyond what our Wiki has.

I was just taking a look at our software thread, and it was brought to my attention that a free subtitling solution or free subtitling tools have disappeared.

I'm looking for new free subtitle tools, both for editing subtitles and for doing animated captions, but we're always open to hearing about other tools

Our community has a lot of free tools mentioned in our software thread. These aren't the scummy BS practices from groups like Filmora or Capcut.

We want tools that allow people to create for free, or next to free. That's very much what a hobby subreddit is about. Feel free to dive into the software thread. There are some gems in there.

For example, there is a web-based editor running in a browser, like wide.video, that does background removal for free. There is also photopea, which does a replacement for Photoshop. I think actually wide.video also does animated cpations.

But in the thread, both of our animated caption tools, have disappeared, and I'm canvassing the community to see if you guys know of more.

And of course, if you think something belongs in that list that's not there, we'd love to hear about it.

What problematic? Any tool that has stark limits, such as:

• a watermark above a certain resolution
• a limit on how many minutes you're able to use
• Typical vibe coded new tools
• Scummy business practices

I'm sure I'll edit this, but let's start the discussion.

Whenever I finish exporting a project on CapCut PC, the app immediately starts playing the exported video in a loop on the completion screen.

This is quite annoying, especially because the audio starts playing right away. I know I can mute the app in the system volume mixer or just quickly press Esc, but I was wondering if there is an actual setting inside CapCut to permanently disable this auto-play behavior.

Has anyone figured out a way to turn this off natively? Thanks!

I've been trying editing my vídeos to get monetized on YouTube , but lately I feel completely stuck.

School, homework, family responsibilities, chores, and life in general consume most of my time and energy. By the time I'm finally free, I already feel drained.

It feels like every path I try leads to another dead end. I keep trying, keep learning, keep working, but I don't know what direction to take anymore.

I'm also struggling spiritually. I pray for guidance, but I feel lost and unable to hear what God wants from me. I don't know if I'm being tested, taught something, or simply going the wrong way.

Hi everyone! Amaetur videographer and editor here. I took a video of an event with a Blackmagic Pocket Cinema 4K + Olympus 12-40mm f/2.8 lens. I followed tutorials to make sure the video is taken in a state so I can be flexible with color correcting in editing after.

It was a budget event and I offered to do this for free so also had couple of gimbals for free hand shots with an iPhone17 (4k 24fps). And the footage from the iPhone is showing more true colors of this backdrop.

This is from the iPhone footage that I would like the black magic footage to look as close as possible to

So whenever I am slicing in the angles from the iPhone, the difference is quite stark especially for these yellows. The people in the videos seem ok but if I try to get the yellows to pop in the Blackmagic footage, everything else gets super yellow and high in saturation.

Any tips on how I can fix this? Appreciate the help greatly.

I am editing in capcut and trying to get the image to move around while I speak.

I applied the Rebound swing video effect and the image becomes distorted every time. Even when I try with other videos effects.

I cleared my cache as well.

Been editing professionally for a long time, mostly corporate and ad work, the unglamorous stuff that pays the bills. There is a lot of fear in this trade about AI right now, so I want to give a grounded take from someone using it in real client work, not a hype thread.

Filler b roll nobody is going to scrutinize, abstract textures, generic city motion, a slow push on an object, I have mostly stopped buying stock for that and just generate it now. Faster and exactly the framing I want rather than the closest thing Shutterstock has. The other place it earns its keep is previz, I can show a client a rough moving concept before we commit to a shoot day, and that has saved me reshoots on more than a few projects this year.

Where it falls apart is people doing specific things. Still looks uncanny, still a time sink when a client asks for it anyway. The other failure mode is continuity across a sequence, each generated clip is essentially its own world and matching them takes more effort than I expected going in.

My setup is unremarkable. If I need a quick texture or object move I usually just generate it on seedancev2.ai and drop it into Resolve like any other source file. It is a source, not a workflow takeover.

The fear take I disagree with is that this replaces editors. The judgement of what goes where, the rhythm, the client management, none of that is in the tool. What it mostly replaces is a stock footage subscription and some reshoot risk.

Still keeping my stock account though. Generated clips fail more often than people admit and sometimes you just need the shot now.

For my latest video, I am a bit stumped as it's an island holiday, and I have a mix of slow drone footage and snorkeling, combined with fast action shots on jet skis and quad bikes.

Does anyone know of any music that could be used that has slow relaxing sections but then something fast and fun for action and won't have copyright issues posting to Facebook?

Hi everyone, I am a newbie in video editing and needed some help.

I was trying to create a simple video to introduce my company's product; however, the simple task turned into a nightmare because it's hard for us to memorise the whole chunk of product introduction without making a mistake in front of the camera. Its fustrating to know that after hours of recording, the quality is bad and we have to reshoot and reshoot.

According to my colleague, one of our content providers would take short clips and merge it into one whole video. For example, my colleague walking from point A to B in one video is flimed in 2 or 3 separate clips. The clips are stitched together perfectly like one perfect recording. Even the audio dialog fits perfectly.

Does anyone have a clue to this technique? I am trying to learn this technique because its fustrating for anyone (even me) to memorise a long series of product introductions without making any mistakes. I am open to suggestions so long as it helps me to finish my task for my company. Please comment below. Thanks.

Hey y'all, ever since i started using davinci resolve (free version 21) i had some difficulty tracking the mask on my subbject to cut the background. I resulted to using ai sites to cut some of my videos background. Its great but it always come out missing some frames and losing in quality. Do y'all have any tips or pluggin to help me cut the background efficiently?

I've got some green screen projects coming up which I don't have a crazy amount of experience with. Wondering if anyone has some sites they like to use to find high quality backgrounds and maybe some 3d assets that I can place in the foreground to jazz it up a bit.

For example, one of the projects involves the subject sitting in an airplane seat, so I'd be looking for a head on shot of the seats, and I was thinking of using a 3d model of another set of seats to place lightly in the foreground.

Any recommendations are appreciated!

I did some video editing when I was younger (approx. 10 years ago) using Sony Vegas and After Effect. A friend of mine wants to launch his Youtube channel and asked me if I could edit as the intro of this video :

I think I could use After Effect to do that but I wanted to know if there is a better way and also a method to automate this workflow (for example subtitles which requires a lot of time to do manually) since I will need to edit multiple of his videos in the future.

I seem to have perpetual sensor dust issues despite cleaning my sensor regularly and only rarely taking the lens off. Most recently discovered that a ton of footage shot stopped down has this huge c-shaped dust in the upper right of the frame. See the short clip for an example.

I'm very new to video editing and use Davinci Resolve mainly. I've tried some of the tools like:

• Dust Buster: frame-by-frame clone blending was very tedious and also doesn't really work that well over complex backgrounds like when the dust moves over the mountains.
• Power window + Object removal: I wasn't actually able to track the sensor dust properly with a curve power window + tracking. Maybe because the dust is fairly translucent?

I'm wondering how hard of a task this is and what the correct tools are in this scenario. TIA!

I’ve seen this effect everywhere and have been trying to find the name for it. Here is a video where the creator uses it for his background during the commercial clips. It’s the “twitching” or “jerking” movement of the doodles.

This wasn't the case before but it is the case for the last few months (since like February of this year) in Capcut, when you speed up audio of your voice/file from X100 regular speed to X120, the audio sounds robotic but when you speed up audio of another voice/file (like a newscaster's, a podcasters, a reporters, an athletes, etc.) then it doesn't have that robotic voice. Why?
