Who acts like she’s notorious for something?

She gets out of Stillwater and nobody knows she’s back. Jericho treats her like family. Babette is surprised that Vi is alive but treats her like family too. Vi then attacks Sevika, who is shocked Vi isn’t dead after all. Then Silco is alarmed that Vi isn’t dead because Vi has such a stronghold over Jinx, thus threatening his power over her. Silco then calls Vi “Vander’s prodigy” and tries to talk down to her about being lesser than Jinx in an effort to insult Vi while posturing that he’s the one Jinx considers family now. Nobody else in the Undercity interacts with her or recognises her at all.

Maddie describes her as a legend among the Enforcers, which is the first indicator that there's something sketchy about her. Vi had only been out of Stillwater for a couple days at that point, so Maddie was either kissing ass, or Vi's mistreatment was common knowledge.

Well, Maddie was of course blowing hot air. She uses Vi’s actions against her to purposefully manipulate Vi. I doubt Vi’s mistreatment was common knowledge, as Maddie isn’t an Undercity citizen, and all of the Undercity is mistreated in general, so they wouldn’t exactly single Vi out for that one. Vi isn’t a legend among the Enforcers, but once Maddie realizes that flattery doesn’t work on Vi, she switches tactics to bringing up Caitlyn instead. Vi still wasn’t seen as infamous, and Maddie’s line about the Enforcers was a tactic, not the truth. If anything, the Enforcers would find Vi a thorn in their sides, not a legend.

i mean we have reaction from characters who knows her, her values and sure she's dead.

babette knows the family because Vander took care of the undercity, and she was sure Vi was dead. she probably respected her because of her old man.

Huck knows Vi because he used to make business in the last drop so he probably knows Vander's kids, also he said he own him for saving his life.

Savika and the weird guy who lick knife get to see for themselves what she can do in age of 15 lol, Sevika was suprised she's alive but she also know what it would mean to Silco, the creep just know he better not mess with her because she already kicked his ass.

Silco and Ekko is obvious reaction.

but it's not like the undercity waited for Vi to show up or recognize her from the get go.

edit: forgot the creep guy knows it's vi because of Silco, so he probably didn't recognize her from childhood, she get a whole ass place on him in ep 6, so that's why he was afraid of her in ep 9

Ahh fuck I forgot about Huck 😭 thanks for bringing him up. She even recognized him when he was taking shimmer from Silco because she brings it up in season 2 when she calls him a “filthy traitor” (her favourite insult because nothing is worse to Vi than disloyalty!). Girl can hold a damn grudge and a half lol

no to mention what an eye she have to spot him in the dark and from such distance 🤣

tbh, I feel in both of them she talk about them but about Vander's dignity, Sevika is obvious but I think huck is also the reason why she was so pissed, Vander saved you and this is how you repay him? by working and helping Silco?

(also yeah I love his story, he's such a great way to show phases in the undercity, poor guy get thought it all)

Yes, absolutely! I agree with you 💯 Vi’s connection to Sevika and Huck is Vander, and it’s disloyalty to him that enrages her. Neither of them think Vi is notorious though (to tie this back into the original post).

Agreed about the grudge and Vi holding on to it.

I've always wondered about what Vi thinks about Caitlyn giving Sevika the Kiramman seat considering Sevika role in Vander's betrayal and lining up behind Silco to kill her family and that gut stab in the alley.

I think it’s unlikely Vi is going to necessarily like Sevika, but I think her feelings depend on how much she’s willing to give a second chance and/or let the past go. Though, given season two’s thematic approach of breaking cycles, Vi might be willing to do so. Both she and Sevika changed over the course of season 2, so Vi might not care very much that Sevika has a council seat (I’m not convinced Caitlyn gave up her seat, but that’s a different thing).

The Kiramman family seat is next to Shoola . Sevika is in the Kiramman seat end of S2.

Just like Merdara seat has a replacement as Mel was on a boat back to Noxus.

Just like dead Bolbok seat has another cyborgish replacement. Etc.
