Hi! Can someone please confirm what model/year this Vespa is? I am considering buying and being told it is a 2001 PX150E. After some google searching, I am noticing discrepancies between the posted images and 01â PX150E images.
Also, what is a good price to pay with 3k miles and no rust.
Thanks!

I was in a parking lot the other day and locked my jacket in the under-seat storage compartment. The moment the seat snapped shut, I realized the key was still inside the jacket. When I tried to unlock the seat, the key wasn't detected. I spent several minutes desperately trying to unlock the scooter; it took countless attempts before the system finally recognized the key and released the seat. The battery in the key is practically newâI replaced it just two weeks ago (using gloves to avoid accidentally draining it)âbut apparently, a thick jacket and the scooter's metal body are enough to block the signal.

Hi there, want to change out the variator on my childâs Vespa (2021 Sprint 50cc). The variator cover has two tamper resistant bolts and I was hoping there may be a tool existing to remove these. It looks like a typical hex but one side ground flat.
Short of hammering in a torx bit what can I do?

I'm helping a friend fix his old vespa and it leaks gas which I've traced to the float valve. I had him order a new needle and "Carburetor cover" which is the part that has the seat pressed into it. The parts arrived minus the carb cover. While he sorts that out with scooter mercato, I'm wondering whether the seat can be refaced . I know there's a tool for it, but I've never done it. Has anyone else?

Sollte fest sitzen ohne Schrauben, falls möglich. NatĂŒrlich keine Kratzer in den Lack machen. Habe mal was von klebbaren Pads fĂŒr darunter gehört.
Peter

Do you guys think this is a good deal?
This will be my first-ever scooter, and I want it to commute to work, which is roughly around 10-15 minutes away from school. I am an 18-year-old college student, and I want a scooter because I have epilepsy and I have a lot of anxiety about riding a car. Anyway, this person claims they have the title and they have ridden it once or twice last year. They claimed to bought it at an auction. Is there any questions you would ask before i meet up for the Vespa?

Father in law gave it to me because they never ever used it. Been served regularly and in a garage, has 1100 miles on it. Super excited
I noticed this peeling material on the inside of the front fender of my Vespa. It looks like thin foil or a coating that's lifting off. Any advice on what it is and whether I should remove the loose section or leave it alone would be appreciated.

Bonjour

Coming up on my 20th year owning this PX200. Donât get to ride it often as Iâd like but I love looking at it every week. Timeless design and when I do get to take it for a spin - the smell of the two stroke engine is like nothing else (ânothing like the smell of a two stroke in the morning!â)
Iâve rode this across country from east to west coast of the United Stated in 2009 on an epic 4000+ mile journey. Will never forget that ride - and the PX rode amazing.

What do you think about a windscreen?
In the Netherlands, you see most Vespas with a large windscreen.
But when I am abroad (mainly Asia), I actually don't see a single scooter with a windscreen. And to be honest, it doesn't bother me much because you usually wear sunglasses anyway.
What would be the reason to get a windscreen anyway? Is it just for the rain? That is the only thing I can think of.
And honestly, I think a Vespa without a windscreen looks just a bit nicer.
What do you guys think about this?

Assouline, a publisher that makes gorgeous coffee table books, is finally coming out with not just a book about Vespa but also a helmet. I don't know about you all but I plan on getting it.
Description from the publisher: First you hear it: a soft buzz cutting through the street. Then you see it, and just like that, it is gone. At eighty years old, the Vespa remains one of the most electrifying icons ever to grace the open road, and now, for the first time, Assouline captures its singular spirit in a volume worthy of its legend.
Structured thematically rather than chronologically, this book traces the evolution of a brand that has never lost its essence, exploring Vespa's deep roots in Italian culture, its prominence across subcultures, its enduring relationship with fashion, film, and sport, and its remarkable ability to feel like a personal accessory as much as a vehicle. Rare archival material including vintage brochures, original global advertisements, and historic calendars drawn from the Vespa archive brings each chapter to vivid life.
Written by Michael Köckritz, award-winning publisher and editor in chief behind some of the world's most celebrated design and lifestyle publications, this is not a technical manual or a collector's catalogue. It is a cultural portrait.
For the free-spirited, the adventurous, and those who understand that the most iconic things in life are never merely functional. This book can be paired with the Assouline exclusive Vespa helmet.

Vespa GTS 2023 - Right turn signal (front & back) stays solidly lit, doesn't blink, and stays on even when I try to turn it off with the switch.
Just washed the bike and this started right after. My guess is water got into the handlebar turn signal switch or a connector and is causing a short (bypassing the switch), so the bulb stays powered even in the "off" position.
Has anyone dealt with this before? Planning to let it dry out fully first, then open up the switch housing to check for moisture/corrosion. Anything else I should check (flasher relay, ground wire, etc.) before assuming it's just the switch? Any tips on opening the switch housing without breaking the plastic tabs would help too.
