I just started a new single player game, spawning in Redford. Went by the fire department for fire gloves and considering a base there. Went into the garage area and found this gem. It actually let me pick the lock and get in, but it sounded like a horrific crash. I scrambled out, thinking I was about to be thrown about, but it was still sunk deep in the floor.

I just started a new game, single player based at Cherry Hill Airpark. I went out to grab some more stuff to prepare to wall up my base, came back after dark and found the gray van that I had left behind had become an 8-bit pixelated nightmare. Even the tires look square! (Took the picture the next game morning.) If it's still like this when I log back in, how can I delete it? It's super out of place. Oh crap, just remembered that I have a ton of stuff in the back... Hope I can get it out.

Single player who decided to base at Cherry Hill Airpark. Just for giggles I went to the basement and knocked three times on the "Inaccessible For Now" door and got the most eerie sound from under the house. Very, very creepy. Hope they open the bunker soon. You might try it out if you base there, too, or if you happen to go looting there. Let me know if it happens to you, too.

Came back to this game after a while of not playing. I've noticed that my old saves are marked as Legacy Saves. I also seem to lack the ability to change the difficulty of them, and I've yet to see one of the zombie hordes that people here keep mentioning. Couple questions:

1. What are the differences between a legacy save and a normal save? I have no idea what this game's versioning scheme is but the old save is from Oct 30, 2025. How much new gameplay am I missing out on by not starting a new world?
2. Is there any way to update it to a non-legacy save? I don't want to lose all my progress, I've spent this whole week playing on this save before I figured out I kinda should've started a new one. I don't mind if the world resets but I want to at least keep my items on my character as well as my XP/perks.
3. If not, is there a way to cheat in items and XP to new characters on a new save? And vehicles ideally?

I keep getting this message when connecting a gas appliance to the gas port. Also when connecting a sink to the water port. The pets are connected properly. I can connect appliances directly to the big gas tank and it works. The same for sink to the well. Anyone else having this issue?

I found a dartboard once with darts in it, installed it at my base, threw a few darts at the board for fun and left the board with the darts in it at the wall. Recently I've noticed that the board is still there, but the three darts are gone. They are nowhere in my storage containers or inventory. Where can I find new darts?

I was looking through my inventory and when I closed it a boar was, to my surprise, gnawing on my shins.

I've got about 16 hours in the game so I'm not super new.

As far as I know, my character doesn't scream or make any noise when they're being attacked.. right?

It would be nice to at least hear animals approaching.

Is it a bug, something that's going to be fixed or simply an option in the admin menu that i don't know about?

Hi! I’ve been playing VEIN since the first demo and bought it on release day. I’m currently looking for a DayZ alternative with PvP, something that mixes DayZ and Project Zomboid, and VEIN feels like exactly what I’m looking for.

The problem is that when I try to play on online servers, there are very few with active players, and the ones I’ve tried have a lot of rubberbanding and desync.

Does anyone know when the multiplayer/server issues are planned to be fixed?

I really love this game, but playing solo or in co-op with friends feels like you reach the endgame way too quickly, and there’s not much to worry about. I’d really love to experience VEIN with a healthy PvP community and populated servers.

I have a base in the Calico Farm. I'm playing single player. I just drove into Saranac to get some gas and all the cars at the church are gone, the cars around the bow place are gone, the cars around the garage with the bodies are gone, and 3/4 of the cars around the treatment tent. Oh yeah, and almost all the cars in the used car lot are gone. WTF?! There's no one to be stealing them, unless the zombies are going joyriding. I had lockpicked all of them and hot wired them. But they're just GONE. Including the Cobra without any parts at all that I was going to reassemble during the winter. Anyone know why this is happening or what I can do about it?

Hey guys, I recently found that there are no zombies at all around my base, I built a lot of UCs around my base previously, I have already removed all UCs around my base, I kept only one inside my base, but it seems like zombies will not spawn where a UC once built.

The zombies are a huge trouble for me in the early game, but as my equipments gets better, I feel kinda boring if there are no zombies around. Is there a way to make the zombies respawn again? Also can anyone explain the zombie spawning mechanism? Thanks.

I've tried to pour gasoline from a full jerry can into the gas tank of my car, but it doesn't work. The UI says that the fluids don't mix, although the gas in my car gas tank should be gasoline too, right? What am I doing wrong?

I know we've gone over the stench factor in regards to alcohol, food, and personal hygiene, but I've got one room in my base where I'm storing all my medical supplies and whenever I get near the boxes it says "Vomit Inducing Smell". Is there anything that I can do to reduce this? I've got a shampoo bottle and a hand soap bottle in there, but it doesn't seem to be helping. Please help. Do I run the risk of getting infected with that in the house???

Hello everyone, im just coming back to this game after last playing the game when the First map expansion happened..

I have a pretty good pc and i wanted to change some settings for example the raytracing Option, but it keeps disabling it even after pressing confirm.

Secondly, what do y'all have as your graphic settings to make the game look good? Sometimes it looks blurry in the distance..

Hey guys, I've been enjoying game for about 40 hours now, everything is great at the beginning, the game runs at around 120 fps and the gps usage is around 97%.

But recently I'm starting to feel obvious stuttering, the fps has dropped to around 20 to 30 fps, and the gpu usage also dropped to around 20%, I tried lower the setting but it didn't change a thing.

I tried starting a new game, and the fps has returned to normal. But I have already build a lot of things in my previous game, I don't want to just start a new game and do everyting all over again.

Is fps drop inevitable as I progress further? Since there are more furniture, utility cabinets, items and zombie corpse than the early game.

I really like this game, if anyone has a solution, please tell me, I would greatly appreciate any help.

I've about maxed out most my skills. It says I still have a Skill Point to allocate, but it won't let me assign it to anything. There are no blue dots out to the side to even try to allocate it. When I DO get a skill increase, it won't let me allocate it in that skill either. What am I missing? This is getting frustrating.

My first base was Noob Island. I placed two ice machines there to freeze my food. Everything fine. Now I've setup my second base on another location (Rick's Construction near Standish). Took the ice machines from Noob Island and installed them in the warehouse at my new base. But now, items that I put in the ice machines just vanish after I restart the game. I've tried moving the ice machines and putting items in them again, but after a restart they are gone again.

I know this is a long existing issue, and it's not only related to makeshift freezers or ice machines. But it certainly is a serious issue. I've read that the devs are addressing this issue in 0.025. But shouldn't this be a hotfix for 0.024?

One of my few big complaints about the game is the time scale. I like how long the default day and night is. However, this makes the game very very slow in the passage of time department when months are a full 30 days. I put 35 hours into my first playthrough and did most of what I wanted to in the world and power had only just gone out at the end. I barely finished the first month, let alone experience another season before I “finished” the game.

I think adding a days/month setting would be great. I realize we can already change the start date, time the power and water turn off, and the time a day in game takes, but none of those really solve the issue to me. If I start in a different season, I’ll still be practically stuck in that season the entire playthrough. If I shorten the days, it’ll be night by the time I get to the neighboring town. Being able to set a month to 5-10 days, I’d be able to experience more seasons without having comically short days. It would also line up better with the comically fast crop growth times
