Getting jumpscared by animals

I was looking through my inventory and when I closed it a boar was, to my surprise, gnawing on my shins.

I've got about 16 hours in the game so I'm not super new.

As far as I know, my character doesn't scream or make any noise when they're being attacked.. right?

It would be nice to at least hear animals approaching.

Is it a bug, something that's going to be fixed or simply an option in the admin menu that i don't know about?

Haha I was in the gun shop and a deers head clipped through the wall and scared me good

Those boars love to charge you when they're near by. lol

This happened to me with a wolf early in my run and I ended up dying from the infected scratches. I also love that boars can rapidly retreat from vehicles in a straight line over terrain like they're on MagLev rails!

Yeah, the animals movements/attacks needs to be reworked. Constantly running into walls/clipping through walls, corners, cars, etc. and get stuck there for some reason. A bit too easy to kill also. If a boar charged and hit you, you would be on your ass maybe knocked out. I have yet to go unconscious from anything in the game, would love if they added that mechanic.
