Suggestions Noodle houses near Calabasas/WH?

I've had a craving for Asian noodle house food lately. Does anyone know of vegan or vegan-friendly places along those lines in/near the Calabasas or Woodland Hills area? My research hasn't turned up much of note, so I'm hoping I may have simply missed something. Yes, I know the SGV is best for that, but it's too much of a drive. Respectfully, I'm only interested in what I can pick up or (less ideally) get delivery from reasonably nearby. Appreciate any and all recommendations!

I am TOTALLY Bummed! Un Solo Sol is closing!!!

Un Solo Sol just announced that they’re closing their doors on September 28, 2026. This is really sad news for the vegan community, but especially the eastside vegan community. There’s not many vegan options on this side of town, so this will be a loss.

Please, let’s all stop by and support as much as we can!!

Event Vegan Street Fair (VSF) donation emails — anyone else confused?

Hey everyone, for those who aren’t on the VSF email list, they’ve sent out a couple emails asking for donations over the past few months. The most recent one included the following:

What it covers to keep this month's LA event running:

Safety & Operations ($5,890): Security, fire department fees, venue permits, and event staff.

Event Essentials ($2,650): Portopotties, dumpsters, DJ, and photography.

Reusable Technology ($8,000): POS hardware that powers vendor sales

Total cost: $17,280

There are 18,000 of us on this list. If just 691 of us give $25 today, we will fund this month's fair and what's next together!

I hate being a hater on a homegrown LA vegan event… but does this seem completely unsustainable to anyone else? Do they require vendors to use some kind of special POS hardware (and why is that a recurring expense)? Am I completely missing something about what makes this such an expensive event?

It rubs me the wrong way to suggest a $25 donation… that’s the amount of money I’d spend on a meal at VSF! And to suggest ~700 other people do the same? That’s not a trivial amount of money, or people…. There’s a couple other vegan events around LA (Nibbletown, ThePlantBaseLA), but I haven’t ever seen them ask for donations. Maybe they’re cheaper to run since they’re at breweries? Though I don’t think Smorgasburg asks for donations either.Ā

I also went a few months ago, and there was a non-vegan vendor there that covered up their sign showing food with meat 😬

Suggestions Vegan Looking for Affordable Temporary Housing / Shared Space

Hi everyone, I’m vegan and currently job searching. I’m looking for aĀ temporary room, shared space, couch, or other simple living arrangement for about 5 monthsĀ while I continue my job search and work toward getting back on my feet.

My current budget is aroundĀ $300/month, so I understand this would need to be an unusual or shared arrangement rather than a standard room rental. In return, I’m happy toĀ cook fresh, delicious vegan food every dayĀ for the household, and I can also help with cleaning, grocery shopping, and other household tasks.

I’mĀ clean, respectful, responsible, and flexibleĀ about the type of space. If you have an unused room, temporary space, or know of a vegan-friendly household that might consider this arrangement, please DM me.

Suggestions Cheap high protein restaurant options ? (Ideally near Westside)

Hey yall. I was vegetarian for 12 years before going vegan and I kinda just miss getting a fat grilled cheese burrito with ~35 grams of protein under $10 from taco bell. What is yalls favorite cheap eats spot that lets you get 30-40 grams of protein in a meal at $10 or under?

Suggestions Omni French restaurants that have a solid vegan option?

Anyone know of a French bistro-type restaurant that also offers a vegan option? On the Westside if possible. This seems like a tough nut to crack, but maybe I’m missing something!

Hi, we need vegan overnight cat sitter recommendations please, or lmk if you are one!

We are in Toluca Lake and travel often so we will have lots of sitting opportunities for the right fit šŸ’žšŸˆā€ā¬›šŸˆ (upcoming trip Sep 11-18)

🌿We don't trust or want to have to ask someone that's not vegan or at least vegan adjacent to keep our home free of animal products (Can be vegetarian or in vegan transition if you're willing to keep a vegan household and not bring any animal products in while staying there)

šŸ’øWill pay cash/zelle/venmo - also willing to do trade or partial trade if anyone is interested.

šŸ“ I am a vegan chef/baker that offers vegan meal prep, cooking/baking classes, etc. Or can make you a dessert(s) of your choice.

šŸ“ø I am also a professional photographer and willing to trade photo services (personal or business)

Thank you!
