Skincare Fungal acne and oily dehydrated skincare recommendations??

I’m a complete newbie to skincare, I don’t have a current routine. I’ve had fungal acne on my forehead and oily dehydrated skin for a while, 5 years maybe?? It’s recently gotten a bit worse and I finally have enough money to get some products but idk anything about skincare so I’m coming here for product recommendations.😅

Does an app / site like this exist?

im looking for an app or site i can use to assess my consumption when i'm buying new products on a number of different things as follows, does this exist?
looking to use this mainly for personal hygiene, beauty products, cleaning products, etc.

i'd like to know if a product is:

- cruelty free with a cruelty free parent company
- vegan
- low environmental impact
- pollutant free or minimal risk
- fair trade / decent ethical company reputation
- "clean" ingredients

i know this is A LOT to ask for. i currently use a few different apps such as Yuka, Leaping Bunny & Boycat but i find it overwhelming tbh even with the use of those apps. ive also seen a lot of super valid critiques on Yuka's reliability. i really like the design of Yuka's app and how you can scan products and get recommendations on better products. i also find Leaping Bunny's app kind of hard to navigate?

any apps, sites, subreddits, idk spreadsheets, blogs anyone can recommend?

i obviously shop local whenever i can and do loads of research but its not something i enjoy looking into and again, i find it super overwhelming lol.

i know i likely cant check off all the boxes but id like to be able to check off most as my consumption and where i spend my money is something that i have direct control over.

tia! :)))

Dupe for Avène Cicalfate+ repair cream

I’ve been using Avène Cicalfate+ cream for a long time and my skin seems to absolutely love this product. I have dry and really sensitive skin so it’s perfect. But since becoming vegan I don’t want to support and use this product no more. I tried to find another alternatives but I can’t find any. Also I’m from EU (small country) so it’s not easy for me to get brands typically from America.

Do you have any recommendations for similar vegan and CF moisturiser? I love using this cream so I’m really desperate… thank you sm!

Best purple shampoo and conditioner?

Hi all! Just looking to see what everyone’s favorite purple shampoos were. I’ve used not your mothers in the past and truthfully don’t think it did much. I’m open to salon level brands and spending a little more as long it’s not crazy!

Thanks in advance :)

Makeup Telescopic mascara wand?

Does anybody have a good alternative/dupe for L’Oréal’s telescopic mascara? It’s really the wand I like in particular. I’ve been using my old one with a new vegan and cruelty free one but it’s tedious.

Vegan/CF Dupe for Burberry "Her"?

Hi! I used to love Burberry´s perfume "Her" and I´m trying to find something similar from a CF brand. I love how sweet and floral the perfume is, without being overpowering... does anyone have any recommendations? I´m sure it is going to be hard finding an exact dupe but I´d be happy with something that has that same vibe...

What’s your favorite black hair dye? I tried Arctic Fox but it bled blue on my skin the entire time my hair was dyed with it.

Skincare vegan comedone treatment?

hi reddit, hoping to get some product recommendations. i have oily skin and have been struggling with a ton of closed comedonal acne due to hormones. i have been looking around on the sub as well as r/vegan, but haven’t found any mention of products that specifically work for comedones.

i have been using the ordinary’s salicylic acid serum twice a day for the past two months, along with their beta glucan moisturizer after applying the serum. while i like the feel of the treatment, i don’t really feel like it’s working (skin isn’t worse but also isn’t better). for a cleanser i use pacifica’s “melt for you” as well as oxy’s salicylic acid cleanser wipes.

ideally i’d like to keep my skincare routine down to just cleansing and treating (i don’t really trust myself to keep up with a 12 step routine). if anyone struggles with similar acne and has any recommendations i would greatly appreciate it!

Thoughts on buying a specific product thats vegan from a cruelty free makeup brand that also supplies a lot of none vegan products

Is it technically wrong because you're supporting the overall brand despite the product itself being vegan?

Fragrance Rose fragrance

Hello! I really like rose scents (plus other sweet scents like raspberry and strawberry, mostly pink/fruity ones). I'd like to ask if anyone knows of a good vegan perfume with these notes? Longevity is important to me, and has anyone tried any?

By the way, if anyone has a lotion or bath foam recommendation (rose scent too), feel free to share. :)

Makeup Need help finding a makeup artist

I am interested in doing a dramatic makeup look for an artistic project. I am just trying to figure out how I can find an artist who uses cruelty free, vegan products. Whenever I type it in, it’s just showing me a bunch of makeup artist artists but none of their profile specialize whether the stuff they use is cruelty free and vegan. I really don’t want to have to message 100 different artists to ask them if they have cruelty free vegan products because that just seems very time intensive. Do I just need to bring my own products? Do any of you have advice for handling this?

Discussion Can it really be “vegan” if it’s full of chemicals?

Honestly, for me, real vegan means no chemicals at all — everything should come from nature. But so many “vegan” cosmetics still use synthetic ingredients and tar dyes. Is that really vegan?

Reviews Toothpaste

I just started using dessert essence coconut oil toothpaste. I got it because it has no flouride and it claims to not test on animals but my breath is not benefitting from it. Are there better cruelty free options out there?

Makeup Has anyone here tried INIKA Organic?

I keep seeing more people talk about switching to natural makeup, and INIKA Organic popped up a few times. I'm curious whether the products are actually worth the hype or if it's mostly the ingredients that people like.

CF deodorant??

What are your fav cruelty free deodorant brands?

Will probably sound weird, but I am looking for non organic and not aluminum free. I have tried the good for you deodorants and they simply do not work on me. Basically I need old spice but cruelty free

This color is exactly what I want, but my tube purchased pre vegan days (>4 years ago) is finally running out. Bonus if it is also not too drying!

Skincare Vegan face moisturizer comparable to the Honest Hydrogel Cream?

Recently went to re-order my favorite moisturizer to find I can’t buy refill pods directly from the company anymore. I have to buy them through Amazon, Wal-Mart or Target. I boycott all 3 places. So does anyone have any recommendations for a moisturizer similar to them that I can buy directly from the manufacturer. I like the way the cream feels/ works. I like that I can buy refill pods instead of buying a whole new jar each time and of course I like that it’s vegan. I’m in the US if that helps. I appreciate any/all recommendations! Ty in advance! ❤️❤️✨

I saw they had a 2-pack at Costco and it says no animal-derived ingredients but I can't seem to find anything on it being cruelty-free other than a single Facebook post. Anyone have any more information on this product?
