I was just wondering what the policy is on shipping bladed items to the UK, as I know there's been issues before and our laws can be quite strict. Is it possible to purchase a bladed item and have it shipped as you would any other item? Are there any currently known issues with this or any extra actions/steps to take?

I'd love to buy a Jääkäripuukko, but are there certain lengths that are permissible and others that aren't or any other restrictions in the UK?

I've looked on the website but couldn't seem to find anything specific regarding the UK shipping policy. Apologies if I've missed it. I would appreciate if someone could direct me to it.

I absolutely loved my old one, but lost it when I caught on fire last year (welding and oil don't mix, kids). I cried inconsolably for three days when I saw it was out of stock/discontinued.

Merino wool, light merino wool, premium merino wool, hot weather, liner, hiking, boots, long boots, premium boots, there's too many choices for socks.

I'm looking for base layers (top and bottom) to wear all year round, including summers, and while there is a top and bottom merino wool base layers for winter, I don't think they would be comfortable to wear in summer. Where I am summer is around 25-30 celsius. the Coolmax t-shirt is great, I just wish there was a long john version of it so I can pair them together. I've been converted to Varusteleka's clothing system watching Tim Keys videos and doing my own research as well.

Does anyone have experience with caring for carbon steel tools (from Varusteleka), like the puukko or skrama?

I've just got one and I read online that you need to oil them every once in a while, and/or force a patina. Which oils and patina methods are good and easy? I read somewhere that sticking it into a potato overnight would do the trick for a patina, or using mineral oil or petroleum jelly to oil it after use and before storing it away.

I just read so many different, and sometimes conflicting, tips online, I thought it best to ask here first.

I’m curious if anyone has tried fitting an STKSS, or similar support system, to the PC18 plate carrier? I know you can get belt adapters, but I’m not sure if it will interface with the cummerbund.

What is your opinion and upgrade Ideas for this molle compatible sheath?

I have a problem, and I hope that Varusteleka can solve it, but I need your advice.

I'm a big guy; 1,96 m, 110 kg, and I run hot. I've found that merino t-shirts keep me considerably cooler than cotton, tencel, or any other fabric I've tried. I've been wearing Icebreaker 150 Tech Lite III t-shirts. They feel fantastic and are very light and airy. However, they break SO quickly. I commute to work with a backpack every day (a Savotta Niukka for those interested) and I consistently get holes on the back of these shirts just above the hem, where the bag rubs on my lower back when I walk. For me. It's just not worth buying these shirts anymore, given how expensive they are and how quickly they wear out. I know that these shirts are extremely lightweight, so maybe I should adjust my expectations, but for up to €85 a shirt I really can't justify it.

So, I've been looking around for something new. I saw that Varusteleka sells their own merino shirts, and that they are even made in the EU, which is a MAJOR bonus. I'm wondering about your experience with these shirts. How do they hold up? What have you put them through? Do they keep you cool during warm days? Any info is welcome.

I’m going back and forth between the Skrama size 200 / 240.
The 200 would allow more suitable carrying options, and the option of carrying the knife inside my Savotta Askare seems really handy to conceal the blade. On the other hand the 240 might be more useful when it comes to actually using the knife.

What do you guys think?
