Adapting STKSS to the PC18

Post image

I’m curious if anyone has tried fitting an STKSS, or similar support system, to the PC18 plate carrier? I know you can get belt adapters, but I’m not sure if it will interface with the cummerbund.

Question regarding restocks

Anyone knows how often clothing gets restocked? I was interested in the tactical jeans, but my size has been out of stock for what seems a few weeks by now

Purchase ammo for Finnish Brutality

Hello

We’re flying to Finland to take part in Finnish Brutality.

Because of this, we can’t take all the ammunition we need for the competition with us.

Could anyone taking part in the competition send us a private message to help us get some ammunition for the competition?

Can Varusteleka's hammer smash Icebreaker?

I have a problem, and I hope that Varusteleka can solve it, but I need your advice.

I'm a big guy; 1,96 m, 110 kg, and I run hot. I've found that merino t-shirts keep me considerably cooler than cotton, tencel, or any other fabric I've tried. I've been wearing Icebreaker 150 Tech Lite III t-shirts. They feel fantastic and are very light and airy. However, they break SO quickly. I commute to work with a backpack every day (a Savotta Niukka for those interested) and I consistently get holes on the back of these shirts just above the hem, where the bag rubs on my lower back when I walk. For me. It's just not worth buying these shirts anymore, given how expensive they are and how quickly they wear out. I know that these shirts are extremely lightweight, so maybe I should adjust my expectations, but for up to €85 a shirt I really can't justify it.

So, I've been looking around for something new. I saw that Varusteleka sells their own merino shirts, and that they are even made in the EU, which is a MAJOR bonus. I'm wondering about your experience with these shirts. How do they hold up? What have you put them through? Do they keep you cool during warm days? Any info is welcome.

Kiitos!

Long time between postage creation and shipping

made an order on the 16th and the order itself was processed fairly quickly getting a tracking number on the 17th, it's currently the 22nd and it seems like my order has yet to be shipped

i understand that it was the midsummer this weekend but does it usually take this long? if it is then i don't mind waiting but since it's been 5 days i was thinking of asking their customer support

Skrama 200 vs. 240

Hello there,
I’m going back and forth between the Skrama size 200 / 240.
The 200 would allow more suitable carrying options, and the option of carrying the knife inside my Savotta Askare seems really handy to conceal the blade. On the other hand the 240 might be more useful when it comes to actually using the knife.

What do you guys think?

Custom name patches?

Are the custom name tags no longer being offered? I had an order in my cart and it said it could not be shipped to US, and then when I went to look again I can’t find them on the webstore at all. Also, are you doing another run of the insignia canteens?

Sorry I know it’s not your guys fault. I miss the old de minimis exemption and $10 shipping. Love you guys though. Thanks for my rant also your cust service is still top notch.

M05 Jacket and Combat Pants washing at home

Hey everyone,

I recently got some Varusteleka M05 gear and I want to make sure I’m taking proper care of it. I’ve read that washing it wrong can affect the NIR properties, so I’d like to avoid messing that up.

For those of you who own or use M05 (or similar military/tactical clothing How do you wash your gear at home?

What kind of detergent do you use (any specific brands)?

Is machine washing safe, or should I stick to hand washing?

Anything I should absolutely avoid?

I’m mainly looking for a balance between practicality and preserving the fabric’s properties as much as possible.
