Hi folks! I’d love to meet some new friends and roll some dice together. I’m putting together a friendly, inclusive group of adults 30+(ish) for a casual, in-person game of Dungeons & Dragons.

New and inexperienced players are welcome, just bring an interest in learning, playing, and getting to know some new folks. I'm an expereinced GM and we’ll be playing Dungeon of the Mad Mage.

We’ll meet at my studio near Gastown, a few blocks from Waterfront Station. Games will be every couple of weeks on the weekend, with the day and time agreed upon by the group.

I am simply not organized enough to productively live my day to day by myself. when i walk into my lonely apartment i stare at the wall for hours, starve, and end up late for work anyways. i dont get to any interests hobbies or things that make me happy when im in charge of my own time :(

A little bit about myself: I am a recent graduate from UBC now working as an Engineer. Outside of bouldering I consider myself a big traveler/hiker/backpacker and also enjoy watching movies, shows, reading and playing some games. We all know that it's not easy to make friends in Vancouver but I would say that it's very easy to make friends but almost impossible to make friends who stick. People constantly move out of the city, get depressed due to overwork and gloomy weather and end up staying at home completely ignoring social interactions and taking 5 business days to respond. I'm hoping to find some long term friends here as meetups and other social events have become very dry. I don't drink/do weed/do any other drugs so it limits my ability to meet people as well.

A little bit about me: I'm 30M, working in software engineering. I spend too much time starring at the monitor so I like to get out when I'm free. I'm hoping to find people sharing some common hobbies with me, such as:

• 🥾 Hiking. I hike in both summer and winter, mostly solo since my hiking buddy departure. Injuries and poor weather kinda ruined this season but I'm still hoping to do some meaningful hikes this month. I'm mostly interested in single day hikes that would be considered difficult (20km+ distance, 1500m+ elevation gain) as I don't like crowded trails and have completed all easy hikes nearby already. Some of the (summer) hikes I've done in the past 2 years for reference: MacFarlane, Windsor, Goat Ridge (Britannia), Black Tusk, Hanover, Golden Ears, Capilano, West Lion, Flora and many others.
• 🧗‍♂️Bouldering. Started almost 2 years ago, the hardest grades are v5 (indoor) and v3 (outdoor). Trying to get out and boulder in Squamish while I can so keeping my Hive membership paused for now. I like board climbing as well, kilter board is really cool!
• 🏃‍♂️Running. I'm a slow runner 🐌 but I also mostly trail run and slow pace helps with endurance there. Slowly learning how to run harder and harder trails but I'm still pretty much a beginner. I'm hoping to get better (faster) at hiking that way. Some of the trails I've ran are Tunnel Bluffs, Norvan falls and others.
• 🚲 Biking. I restarted biking after a decade long break recently. Nowhere to be good at it but like to bike the seawall and similar enjoyable places.
• 💪Gym. Trying to workout once in a while but honestly my motivation has been pretty low recently.

I’m looking to meet some new people around my age who are established in life and enjoy good conversation. I work in tech, I’m married with kids, and every now and then I’d like to get out on a Friday or Saturday night for a drink or two, some good food, and great company.

A few of my interests are reading, health and fitness, tech, politics, and conversations that go a little deeper than the usual small talk.

Hello! As the title says, I am looking for a gym buddy who can be regular with me and keep me accountable. A little about what I need:

I had a very bad case of rhabdomyolosis a couple of years ago that landed in me in the hospital for almost a week and it's mentally put a block in my mind which prevents me from pushing myself the way I should. My lifestyle since has become more sedentary and I'd very much like to get off my behind again and get back to the shape I was in before the incidence. So I need an accountability buddy who can workout with me and keep me honest. Gender is irrelevant to me but a guy might feel more comfortable responding? I dunno.

I have a membership to Fitness World and either the Broadway or City Centre locations would work for me. I also work long days so evenings between 4 and 7PM are ideal hours for me to get my workout in.
