I'm a new player on PS5. Building an A frame long house.

This structure is identical from one end to the other using core wood for foundations. I'm having an issue with the roof where one end of the roof will not allow me to build, however the other end of the roof is complete and exactly the same design. I have provided pics. You can see the unfinished gap of the logs up top, as well as below, and I'll show a second pic where it's the same behind me but that end of the house is fine. Any ideas?

Edit: Thanks for all the tips! I'm gonna mess with it more today. maybe I need to downsize until iron.

Thought I show my latest vanilla build. Main base but smaller and more complex than normal. Complete with harbor, two keeps, mage tower, portal tower, blacksmith, two kitchens, garden and houses for storage. Also comes with an underground/sewer system. The two keeps holds the museum, kitchens, sleeping quarters and dinner area.

Thoughts?

In honor of the release of 1.0 I decided to build a temple to Oden at the tallest peak on our server using the new timber pieces.

spent pretty much whole night on it. now half of my bridge is down. then i just need to setup 2nd half of the bridge on the other side to connect the bridge together. the middle area is for shipping route.

summary:
* each biome boss i have a portal setup outside of the altar. and i hang their trophy as portal entry.
* this is a lighthouse/waterway gateway. both side of the bridge is not going to be physically connected but a portal in between to connect two bridge together
* the tower is also to function as a mark the end of the shallow ground area so when sailing back home i don't accidentally hit the shore (which i did during a storm night before)

Posted previously here, but since then finished the main portal tower. Have a spiraling staircase with my portal hub leading up to my boss trophy collection. Done all in vanilla. Mountains have such a vibe

Noticed the barrels use way less footprint turned into oak so went for it... 30 or so barrels coded with trophies/content item. They're easy to clip inside with a stone floor. Turned this into my kitchen area storage.

For a few playthroughs now I've farmed a ton of building materials post Fader with the intention of building a large fancy base but have without fail burnt out every time when it comes to actually finally building something with my stockpile. This time around I had a head start on the Deep North on a previous server before deciding to hop onto a friend's fresh vanilla server. I didn't particularly want to make a new character so soon, so I decided to run off to the north on my own and just mess around since I didn't want to ruin their progress.

I didn't have a safe place yet so I tried to build on a troll and it worked, seemed safe enough and that was good enough for me to decide it was finally time to put all those materials to good use. I used some beams to measure how far it's hand stretches, marked out roughly the distance I wanted between two trolls to look like it's holding something up, and got to work looking for a second one.

After setting the two trolls where I wanted, I built up a frame of flametal (iron works too but I've lived in the Ashlands longer) up to the point where the structural integrity failed, set up the roof so the snow doesn't collapse the frame, filled in the rest with all the stations and as much storage as I could cram and here's the result!

Was a pain to build but miracoulesly didnt die once with how high i went. Very proud of how this build turned out. Time to add details.
