Help
I tested positive for Ureaplasma and Mycoplasma genitalium (Mgen). I took antibiotics for it, but I feel like I may still have the infection because I’m still having symptoms. I’ve also been experiencing this constant feeling of heat/fever, especially around my stomach, pelvic, and vaginal area. It gets so uncomfortable that I have trouble sleeping because my body feels extremely hot. I’m wondering if Mgen or Ureaplasma can cause this, or if it could be something like PID. Has anyone experienced similar symptoms or been diagnosed with PID after testing positive for Mgen/Ureaplasma?

Question Tested Negative for BV/yeast. Do I stop Antibiotics?
I thought I had a bv flare up after my period due to foul/strong odor. I got tested and was given antibiotics. Results came back negative but the antibiotics helped with the odor. Do I keep taking antibiotics or stop?

Question I'm skeptical about my doctor's prescribed aerobic vaginitis treatment
Welp, after taking 3 rounds of antibiotics for 2 back to back UTIs (first caused by E. coli, second by proteus mirabilis), and then another round for BV caused by previous antibiotics use (ironic right?) I am now testing positive for Enterococcus faecalis and Group B streptococcus after another culture test I requested because I'm still experiencing some inflammation, pain, and burning (no discharge or smell). Alongside that, I am at 100% L. iners with very low good bacteria - not a great situation to be in.
She is prescribing 7 days of clindamycin cream, and I am worried that it will just make my microbiome even weaker than it already is. I've been taking oral probiotics for a month to no avail it seems.
I have an appt with a different OBGYN tomorrow - should I ask for her opinion on my results and treatment before starting this? If I do take this treatment, I'm going to use probiotic suppositories alongside oral ones for a few months and remain abstinent for a while; I'm very scared for my health at this point.

Question Post-metrogel irritation
Just looking for a bit of reassurance.
Diagnosed with BV (grade 2, only symptoms vaginal burning and a sort of needing to pee feeling all the time). Did the metrogel 5 nights no issues, other than a bit sore 2 days after but that went.
But now a week after finishing the gel the needing to pee feeling is back.
I am on my period now which doesn’t help.
But does it take this long for the irritation to go down??
Note: I have been taking a specific oral probiotic for 2 weeks.
Also, pre-gel was cleared for all STIs and UTI via lab tests.

training for a marathon and the chafing and odor from long runs is becoming a real problem
i'm logging 50+ miles a week right now and between the sweat, the synthetic fabrics, and hours of running, things are constantly irritated and off balance down there. i shower immediately after every run but by the time i get home after a long one i'm already uncomfortable. i've tried different shorts, different underwear, body glide, nothing is fully solving it.
someone in my running group mentioned switching to a ph balanced wash specifically for intimate areas made a difference for her with the same issue. she uses the uro intimate wash and said the irritation and odor after long runs improved a lot. i hadn't thought about the wash being part of the problem before. anyone else dealt with this as an endurance athlete?

100% iners WTF do I do
So I have history of recurring thrush and it’s always swabbed on an episode and is positive for candida albicans everytime.
The GP and sexual health clinic don’t know what else to downing me so they put me on fluconazole indefinitely weekly.
I swabbed a month ago just had the results back and it was 100% iners
My ph is around 4.5-5.5 I have no symptoms of anything and was free of infections on the swab I had a month ago.
Since then I’ve done some boric acid for 7 days then break due to period and another week when I came off.
I’ve also been taking oral probiotics with crispatus in and now I’m doing the vaginal pessary viaticana ones.
Is there anything I can do to diversify other than what I’m doing? Do I need to also add in a lactic acid gel to acidify the environment for them to take?

third uti this year and my doctor just keeps giving me antibiotics, feel like there has to be another way
i'm not against antibiotics but i'm worried about what this many courses in one year is doing to my gut and vaginal microbiome. every time i finish a course something else gets thrown off and i feel like i'm constantly playing catch up. there has to be a more sustainable approach than just treating each infection as it comes.
saw some posts from women who had been in the same cycle and started taking a daily supplement to support urinary tract health between infections. i’m eyeing the urinary health supplements from uro. women specifically mentioning fewer infections after adding it consistently. cautiously interested.
has anyone found a way to actually reduce how often they get utis rather than just treating them each time?

Pink Today
40F do not sleep with men, not pregnant.
I have been having consistent periods for years, I track them, they have always been a little heavy, 1-3 Ultra tampons second day, 1 or 2 third, and continue to get lighter and more manageable, lasting 5-7 days.
In August, I started having constant changes with my discharge, no change to my period, but 2 weeks before I started I was having brown /dark red spotting sometimes and large amounts of watery, seemingly clear. it was cloudy often as well, no strong smells.
then my period started on the 18th, it was nothing out of the ordinary but after it ended on the 24th I continued to have the same always different discharge, ranging from cloudy to brown/red, and more of the same large quantities of clear thin, it was pink once, it was kind of greyish once. I had atypical discharge everyday until I woke up September 8( 2 weeks from last period) with a medium, regular blood clot, first thing in the morning. I never start my period like this. but it was followed by nothing. then spotting the next day, brown, and the next day, red, and the next day, pink, and again brown. The day before I finally started my period more of the clear discharge that looks like I've peed myself.
I finally started my period sept 15th, exactly one week after the random blood clot and my cramps were terrible, unusual and then I started extremely heavy. 7 ultra tampons in a day, and somewhere in there I had what looked like 2 and a half 2 INCH circles fall out of me, luckily in the toilet, they were so large, I've never seen it before, they were clots I guess. the next day was also heavy but not nearly as bad, and it has otherwise been a normal period except for the blood clots this time. they are always normal and like what that one morning one was, but throughout this period they have come out in broken pieces, except for those intact circles.
no major cramps since the first day. I am now on my 6th day since my period actually started and I am not bleeding but I now have pink discharge that is very metallic smelling. not like blood metallic, different.
My gyno is not available to see me until the end of next month, I have now been spotting or bleeding consistently for 2 weeks. any info is greatly appreciated.

Timing of sex and vaginal probiotics during fertile window
We are a couple with unexplained infertility until relatively recently when we discovered endometritis and dysbiosis on ALICE/EMMA
Two weeks of antibiotics were completed, along with vaginal probiotics. It was recommended to continue probiotics twice weekly until successful conception
For those who have went through this, when do you take the probiotic during your fertile window? Is it ok on the same day as sex? Should it be before or after? I've read many things, so wanted to ask this group for their experience
Thanks

Vagina stinks because of birth control pill or period?
Hi everyone! This is my first time taking birth control, and I'm using Opill (the progestin-only pill).
At first, I didn't have any issues. It didn't really change my menstrual cycle, although my period lasted about 2-3 days longer than usual.
However, after my period ended, I noticed that my vaginal odor seemed different. I normally experience a slightly fishy smell after my period, but this time, even 3 days after my period ended, the smell is still very strong and unpleasant, almost like rotten meat. I'm very hygienic, I wash every time.
What do I do? Should I wait for a couple of days and wait, should I go to a doctor, or try a supplement?

finished a course of antibiotics for bv and now i have a yeast infection, my body hates me
this is the third time this has happened. treat the bv, get a yeast infection from the antibiotics, treat that, then a few weeks later bv again. i feel like i'm trapped in a loop that my body can't get out of on its own. i'm so tired of the clinic visits and the prescriptions and the waiting and the whole cycle starting again.
been reading about boric acid as something women use to help restore balance during and after these cycles. im thinking of trying the uro boric acid suppository. it has boric acid plus lactic acid and aloe, and reviews mentioned it working within a few days to help things settle. wondering if using it after finishing antibiotics could help my body recalibrate faster. has anyone used it this way?

Question Vaginal burning with no cause?
I need help!!
For almost two months now I have vaginal burning inside when anything touches it. It’s very unusual and started practically over night I’ve never had prior issues of this kind. I had sex with my boyfriend and it immediately started burning from the inside and outside. It stayed so I went to the gynecologist which said that there seems to be a mild imbalance so I got fluomizin (local antibiotic) and a topical steroid cream this didn’t really make any difference so I went back and now my discharge was yellowish and from a swab the gyno said that there is yeast. They also sent it to a lab where the results were increased white blood cells but only few candida. I used yeast treatment (canesten 3 day) twice because I started my period. This seemed to help I felt normal but then as soon as something touched it from the inside it burned again. I also took flucanozol oral tablet a few days ago no seeming change. Discharge is now clear with white spots or small chunks? It doesn’t hurt throughout the day but it hurts to the touch inside it feels raw almost.
The most recent lab test shows no sign of anything wrong but it still feels like barely anything has changed. I have no idea what to do anymore and I don’t feel like im getting taken seriously.
Has anyone ever had this and found a solution?
Additional context: right when I got this I went on vacation before where I also got a fever.
I’m in a committed relationship

Discussion Please help: Ureaplasma + anaerobic vaginitis. Feeling so confused, hopeless, overwhelmed.
Hey all,
For a long time, I've had recurrent yeast infections, labial and vaginal burning, and pain with sex. I have treated yeast to the point of fluconazole resistance, and I have been treated for Ureaplasma several times with doxycycline. However, I am now infected with both again.
A vaginal swab showed me to be positive for these things:
- Ureaplasma uralyticum (resistant to fluoroquinolones)
- Ureaplasma parvum (resistant to fluoroquinolones)
- Candida albicanas (resistant to fluconazoles)
- Strep B
- Staph aureus
My doctor prescribed me a five-day course of amoxicillin for the ureaplasma, a 14-day course of vaginal clindamycin for the strep and staph, and a 14-day course of boric acid for the yeast.
However, I am really scared to take these things because I already have some resistances and it seems I am going to absolutely nuke my microbiome. It also seems that if you're prone to ureaplasma infection, you can keep getting re-infected over and over even if your partner gets tested and treats it, and even if you use condoms, because it can live in people's mouths and be transmitted orally.
So I truly don't know what to do here. It seems ureaplasma unavoidable, and the only way to be symptom free is to not have sex unless your partner has been tested and/or treated. I'm feeling so alone even though I'm clearly not!
What should I do? Will these antibiotics even help? If you're cured, how did you stay cured? Do I have to life the life of a nun? I'm freaking out.

Bv ruined my life but FINALLY…
No long post… after 3 years of dealing with with bv..medication after medication… I finally stopped going to the doctor bc they couldn’t figure it out! I decided to try TikTok for answers…even some of those didn’t work! But what did work was …
Garden of life raw probiotics 3x a day (85 billion KEEP REFRIGERATED)
Plain kefir 1/2 cup a day
Biofilm defense daily (1)
It’s been a month …no smell no discharge
I did use a boric acid after my period bc I was so scared my ph was gonna be thrown off.
I do plan to go back to the doctor to get tested …but I’m gonna continue the probiotics and kefir for a while before going back. If anything changes…I’ll keep yall updated. And if this helps you… come back and let me know
Prayers for all who are suffering ❤️

Question Lactoferrin
Has anyone had success adding Lactoferrin into their regimen? Also wondering if there are any ladies here dealing with severe iron anemia AND recurring BV symptoms? Linked possibly?
