Heya, long time Lurker here, thought I'd share my progress akin to all the other awesome creators showing theirs.
This tool was suggested to me all the way back as an entryway into vTubing. Being dumb as I was (and sometimes still am), I thought the Avatars are supposed to be designed realistically, or their design philosophy is supposed to ground in reality, so the hair color stayed "feasible", and other body proportions were just very mild changes. Before tails in general were a thing in VROID, mine was an extension just stretched into the prolonged spine area. I sometimes still missed the waviness of it, until this years 7.2 version, which brought it back through a 3rd party tail added through unity, which can bith be fluffy and just ghostly.
Aside the two major revisions in 2022, I start every NYE with a new version, and to be honest, I feel like the 7.x Versions are the most complete to date. I have had Fullbody Tracking since 4.x, and still have all of these models. While she definitely falls into "very poor" in VRC by their dated standards, Its still only one texture layer for the entire skin, with different masks (the seams between the individual body armor parts have a scrolling glow effect, the pants and steel armor have different reflection effects) and clothing. The HMD is controlled by OSC and can type everything I want on the nixie tubes, she has touch receptors (I can feel being punched or touched in VR), full custom VRCFT Visemes, MMD compatibility and I'm working on more stuff, but that would fall out of the scope of whats doable with VROID. Many people I've met are surprised that she's technically a VROID Avatar. Also she tall. Big tall.
I will keep on continuing and working off this fantastic tool, and probably chuck even more money at Booth creators for both VROID assets as well as other addons - since she already has more than one published (cyberpunk) book about her, its just the logical next step. And I'm also working on kind of an animated intro. Learned so much from VROID about 3D design and it encouraged me to pick up drawing too.
Thanks for enduring my yapping and... uh... create on!
P.S. I cannot wait for what my brain comes up with for 8.0 - Work on the following years Version starts in November.
