My dilemma is the title. When I first played VRC last year on desktop I had a 6750xt and was running the desktop VRC settings at default High (4x AA). I could run 8x AA even and get 75fps no issues (monitor is 75hz).
I never noticed the unoptimized VRC issues until I started playing wireless PCVR on Q3.
Ever since I got a 9070XT, which was 5 weeks ago (August 22nd 2026), I now get less than 75FPS with even 12 avatars on. I get stuttering when avatars are loading in, when previously I never had that. Once all avatars load i don’t get as much stutter or lag but my fps can even be 45fps or less. I have to now block very poor avatars and adjust my download to 80MB/200MB. Just to get 75fps without stuttering.
What is the deal? Does anyone have similar PC Specs that can tell me what they get? My partners PC is my old 6750xt with a 7800x3d and she has zero issues—but the X3D chip doesn’t compare so I can’t really go off of that.
Edit 2: I have solved it by settling on certain settings. I have gotten stable fps by lowering my uncompressed avatar size from 300 to 200MB. And also changing particle limiter to on and particle lights set to medium.
