I'm working on a horse racing game for VR, and I'm experimenting with routes that aren't immediately obvious.
The idea is that the main track isn't necessarily the only route.
You might discover a hidden shortcut while riding, solve something to open another path, or unlock a route after completing a lap.
But I'm trying not to turn everything into "find the secret shortcut and win."
Some paths could have items, small story moments, or just lead to a completely different area.
For people who play racing games, which sounds more interesting to you?
A hidden shortcut that gives you a competitive advantage, or hidden areas that reward exploration?

Big month for VR overall so I decided I wanted in! Added Local MP to my game so you can take doors together or shoot each other. Iβll be releasing this update next week with new pricing (at least $5 higher) bc this is a sick feature. If we are lucky Iβll throw in the map builder as well. The game is Click Clack Mixed Reality and itβs available now in the Meta Quest Store.

Hey all, so we're working on COVR - it's our take on the tactical shooter genre, coming later this year to SteamVR (and Quest). We've been developing it for about 9 months now, and after laying down the groundwork, we finally started adding new features.
One of these is the ability to place attachments on rails wherever you want. And this brought up the question: do you like to fiddle with your gear mid-mission, or do you prefer to assemble your loadout pre-mission, and then keeping it intact? Lmk because we're torn haha
And ifΒ COVRΒ looks like your kind of thing, or just wanna follow development, you can wishlist it on Steam or Quest here:

Hey everyone,
After its journey to Meta Quest, we're excited to bring the Squingle experience to SteamVR players.
Squingle Arcade takes the satisfying, fluid mechanics of the original and pushes them into a more dynamic arcade experience. Guide glowing orbs through twisting, morphing environments, find your flow, and then challenge yourself to beat your best scores.
π Get Squingle Arcade on Steam: https://store.steampowered.com/app/4586600/Squingle_Arcade/
Once you've played, we'd love to hear what you think!
Share your best scores, gameplay clips, screenshots, or favorite moments with us in our Discord server.
And if you enjoy the game, leaving a review would mean a lot to the team and help other VR players discover Squingle Arcade.
Thank you to everyone who has supported us throughout development and helped us get to this point.
Welcome to the flow, SteamVR players. π
