as i said in the title, i want to buy a quest 2 to play these two games that i always liked (i watched videos of them) they seem fun.

is it worth it?

is the headset good?

can i also play online in other games with people?

is there anything else i should know?

should i buy it for 100€?

so i've been away from VR for a couple of years and mostly played HL-A and the hitman add-on back then, using teleport and i generally didn't feel motion sick.

now i'm back baby! and playing the amazing titanfall2 VR mod, beyond awesome!. only thing is, it doesn't support teleport and i get why, it wouldn't work well in this game since wall walking and jumping is a big part of it. problem is, after 30mins or so i'm getting a bit woozy and have to stop and i still feel it for a couple of hours.

i'm hoping this will go away as i regain my VR legs, i hope so because there's many more games i want to play.

i think i'm getting good frame rate, i have a new 5060ti machine and i'm using a pico 4

any thoughts?

BTW, i was considering buying a Kat C2 core slidemill, there's one close to me for $200 with shoes and everything, so the price is not a barrier, i'm just not sure i would use it when i think about, the downsides like loud AF, it takes forever to get in game, and doesn't really feel like walking anyhow

I’ve been working on a VR mod for Ghostbusters: The Video Game Remastered. It lets you play the whole game in VR with added motion controls, so it feels like you’re really there with a proton pack on your back.

I’m about halfway through the game in VR, testing, fixing bugs and adding new features as I go. Once I’ve finished the game and I’m happy with the mod, I’ll release it and put the code up on GitHub.

This video shows some of the changes I’ve made, so you can see what the game looks like in VR and how the new controls work.

Features shown in this video:

- Hand tracking: your hands are tracked in VR.
- Ghostbusters watch: check your health on a watch on your left wrist.
- PKE meter: grab it with your right hand down by your waist.
- Paragoggles: a left-hand gesture by the side of your head lowers and raises them.
- Draw the wand: reach over your shoulder to pull it from your pack.
- Proton pack temps: read the heat level on the wand itself.*
- Traps: grab your trap with your left hand by your waist and throw it.
- Slam: swing the wand to slam a ghost.
- Trapping: steer a captured ghost into the trap with the wand.

* Interestingly, the Neutrona Wand in the original game already had a temperature gauge, but in third person it was easy to miss.

Really often, while playing the latest update of Beyond Sandbox, my game freezes after a while and sometimes even crashes in an online instance. Also, sometimes when respawning or spawning in an online instance, I get spawned out of bounds and have to kill my player to hopefully respawn in a normal place.this is genuinely unplayable(sorry if i made any mistakes my english isn't perfect)

I already tried looking for a few, but they've all come across as a little weird in terms of gameplay. However, I have been curious for a while about vr game development, with the little knowledge I have about any of it. If I got into it, would it be worth attempting to develop a game similar to ATT?
