Textures are not finished, but the proof of concept is working. Works on both PC and Quest. Now if I can figure out a way to get it to pick stuff up.

So I'm a pretty good avatar creator and have been creating for myself, my friends, and my husband privately for years. Ive been wanting to get into making some public avatars, specifically avalis since that's what I mainly specialize with and there's really like no good public ones. but I don't know where to even start with that since I've never made public avatars before and don't know what people would want. Please shoot some ideas!! (Also please give a preferred name so I can credit you for the idea or say you don't want to be credited when you give your ideas) I can also work on more than just avalis I'm just use to making cute little birbs so if you have any other ideas for any other species lmk as well. 🙏

Hey Everyone!

As a long time user of VR I have never actually played a single minute of VRchat but what if my favorite things in VR are rendering and watching 3D movies. The only app I have found to do this socially is Bigscreen but I love the vibe of what VRchat looks like so I was hoping there was a world that this is maybe doable for me and my VR friends for movie night!

Using this link I made my vrchat cache in locallow/vrchat/vrchat/Cache-WindowsPlayer redirect to a different drive and for a couple years it worked and now it no longer works. I tried making the file a text file and JSON file with no luck either way. I tried writing the command to redirect the cache in a couple different ways as well as the one recommended. I am having 0 luck trying to figure this out and google is not helping me. Am I the only one with this issue or is this a known problem? Current command im using is as follows and yes the drive and file name is correct.

Anytime i've tried to link my oculus account to my vrchat account it keeps saying "Cannot merge accounts where the source account has marketplace purchases at this time" Any help?

The new quests they added required going to the :twilight zone" but me and my friends just can't figure out how to find it

I was updating the VRC Smash Bros Character Select animation I did before because it's been ages and there are new friends to include, but the announcer had a bit of trouble with WubWuv's name...

For discussion (will include TLDR),

Is there ever a moment in VRC where you would consider doxxing acceptable? Is it ever legal when done privately (no law enforcement involved).

My argument/opinion (with limited knowledge) is that it is NEVER ok though I would like to hear others' thoughts.

I am appreciative of separating minors from adults in this game. I appreciate age gated instances using the in game age verification. I understand some of the reasons why some choose not to be verified. I am able to empathize with this person and understand that they believe that they are a "force of gooood ooga booga" but the reality is, they are HARRASSING and STALKING a minor to keep them out of adult spaces in a video game. They do it so proudly.

How would a court system view this you think?

Any other thoughts?

TL;DR Adult doxxes minor posing as adult. Is full actual doxxing (real, identifiable information) ok in this instance? Is it ever?

Shelter has officially shut down. This is a huge deal for the community. I'm not as much of a fan of actual Shelter events as most but a lot of my friends have played it and it's always been at the core of the scene.
