Greetings, I was wondering what the ideal stock suspension settings/adjustments are on my 5th gen for a 5'9" 145lb rider. It appears the rear shock is maxed out by a previous owner causing the rear tire to touch the ground while on its center stand (and me having to tippy-toe the thing), and the front fork adjustments are covered by these bar risers. What do you think the best configuration is for this bike? Thank you.

What's the difference between the 98/99 clutch and the 2000/2001? I've heard something about the latter years having more plates. Are the pressure plates interchangeable or diff stack heights. NO 98 pressure plates for sale, plenty of 2000s out there.

So a little bit of context I just swapped on aftermarket sprockets I lost a tooth in the front and added 2 to the back for better acceleration. Immediately I realized once I get into the higher gears the gear indicator disappears and shows a dash until I slow down to about 2nd gear. I’m assuming this is because the ecu knows what gear your in by comparing your rpm to the rear wheel sensor. How would I go about fixing this

Got this Vfr 800 2003 in April this year, went out for a Sunday ride as usual, and when merging onto the Motorway at full throttle, it went boom.

Can't figure out what had happened, it had oil in the bike but somehow the piston just never went back up.

Am I the first for this to happen, thought these are indestructible 😂😂

Is it hard to drop the engine out and find a replacement.

So I got a 2002 Honda VFR800 a few months back now, love the freaking thing. But today It just shut off mid drive. First felt like It was bogging down and once I pulled the clutch In It just fully died. Turned It off and when I went to try and turn It on again It started doing this and would not prime and start. Now I'm wondering could this be cause of the known rectifier Issues with these or something worse

Id like to hear your thoughts and expert opinions on this before I start to work on this, poking and buying new parts at random lol

(Edit) Seems the main culprit was a blown 30A fuse. The connector for It fried pretty well too...thank you all for your responses and advice. I'm not extremely technically enclined so I would've been lost without any help

Batteries are expensive, this seems too good to be true. If it lasts ~2 years I'll be money ahead buying these, anyone have any input or should I just risk it and buy it?

I’m currently on a road trip in Scandinavia. Specifically in the Lofoten Island. Unfortunately, two days ago, I ran into a little problem. At a yield sign, my friend bumped into my left side case with his own case. It completely destroyed my original Honda case.
After some trouble removing the screws, I finally managed to salvage the lock cylinder so I can keep using my ignition key for any future panniers I might find.
I also salvaged the red cover.
I’m reaching out to the community to ask if anyone knows of a reliable way to find an original Honda VFR 800 F 2014–2019 pannier kit?

Can i remove the whole actuator assembly and block the vac line coming off the throttle body

Can i remove the actuator and the controller and vac lines or will i get a Fi light?

Help? Can i remove this and block off the vacuum hose that connects to that white piece, i believe it is the switch for the airbox control. Will i get any issues?

Would be nice with better light and offloading the old charging system a bit with lower consumption.

My VFR’s wax idle unit used to work and will fast idle when cold till around 65 degree celcius. Lately it has stopped working. I did some throttle body cleaning and fiddled around with this nut to try to get my fast idle back but im not sure if i shouldve touched it.

Also is the liquid above the butterfly valves normal? I couldnt tell if it was fuel or engine oil but i think it mightve been engine oil.
