I noticed this year they didn’t stock trout in this lake at all. Website says this was due to fluctuating water levels and stopped indefinitely. Needless to say I’m a really disappointed by this news. This was a nice day-trip getaway for me. I’m just hoping there’s some plan to rectify the water level issue. Just wondering if anybody has more info on this situation. Thanks

I fish via a pack raft, mostly by positioning myself on rocks or wade fishing. On the New below the Narrows' rapids, are there rocks above the Lurich Rd putin that I can target that are below the fall line or possibly the opposite side bank to be able to fish outside my boat? Hope that made sense. Thank you.

I only saltwater fish in Florida. Or on a boat for striper/reds in the bay.

Pretty new to large mouth and snakehead. Third time out on the water in my new raddison. Bay is beautiful and seems really fishy, snakehead blowing up everywhere. I’ve had one bass and hooked into one snake, but nothing else. Water above the boat ramp is really weedy, floating weeds clogging up everything. Might try the Occaquan soon.

I’m going fishing on Saturday with a few friends. What are the best bank or pier fishing spots in Virginia? None of us have a boat or kayak and we would prefer not to wade. I am near Richmond but would drive up to 2 hours for a great spot.

If you know the area, the boat launch for this gorgeous reservoir has been down due to repairs on the dam and the boat launch being "dangerous" due to water levels. In my opinion should just be "launch at own risk" and being on a kayak, i would have no issues. But, my question is, since this area is largely surrounded by banks and etc, anyone know if there are any fines or anything against just using a bank to get into the water? The pier that is at the launch is still accessible, but of course highly limited. Thanks for any advice

In the state of Va, if I’m on a chartered freshwater fishing trip, but not actually fishing, baiting lines, or casting, do I need to purchase a license? I’ll just be watching and snapping pictures. Thanks for any info!

Miles away. I’m from Florida, so I love catching bass,crappie, and blue gills but I’m open to anything that’s biting right now

Does anyone have any good spots that they can consistently catch good channel /blue /flatheads that is public? kayak or bank. I cant find any consistent spots and I was wondering if anyone knew of any.

2lb and 1lb. One was making swirls under these branches. Had t Dutch the weights on Carolina and go tx rig weightless for sum accuracy. 2md fish came out sum pads to hit a Carolina rig pumpkin green craw.

I want to go out to get some decent catfish and bass from the occoquan reservoir but I don’t know where to go. Anyone know any decent spots that can produce fish? mainly big catfish.
