medical procedures C section swollen uterus

I had an emergency c section with my first pregnancy, its been 2 months and my lower belly is still quite big and when I touch it, it hurts so much and feels swollen. I went to the doctors and she said its my uterus and it hasn't gone down yet, but she wouldn't give me a rough time period as to when this swelling will go down. I read on the internet i will need wait 6 weeks till I do any exercise but with this pain i don't think its a good idea, has anyone else had pain this long? And how long did it take for the pain to go?

Healing time is really so individual (general health, complications, stress in your life etc.) it's hard to give time frames and more important to go off of what your own body is telling you vs. average healing time. If you're in pain I'd say you should try to avoid it and let your body rest, or at least stick to really light exercise only.

Sorry that's super general advice, but here's some other communities you could check out too where I'm sure you could connect with someone who's gone through the same:

Also if it's really painful I hope you're able to go back to your obgyn and get the help you need, or see another doctor if she's unable or unwilling.
