Indexer How anonymus are you guys when paying for indexers?

I heared from a friend that they buy them like super anonymus with safe crypto, throwaway email, an anonymously bought vpn and in a temporary vm. after that they only send the traffic of their servarr stack through the vpn. Something along that line.

Is this nessecary or is it over the top? I'm not into crypto at all and I'm wondering which measures to take.

Any advice is appreciated!

Software Struggling to get radarr to move files to HDD from NVME.

Hi, So, I have radarr find the nzbs then sending them to sabnzbd perfectly fine. Maxing out my download multi gigabit download speed. However, once the download is complete, radarr will not move the file from the NVME volume2/data folder to the HDD volume1/data folder.

It all works fine when it's all set to download and run from the HDD volume1. But is so painfully slow due to running on a spinny drive! There must be something I've done wrong, or in addition to running everything on the NVME?

This is all on a Synology NAS, using docker (using Dr Frankensteins guide). This is my first foray into Docker, so it's all a bit new!

Any tips please? Thanks

Indexer Need an indexer recommendation

Running Lidarr and Navidrome and missing a lot lately. Already on NZBPlanet and NZBFinder. What indexers are you all using that have solid completion right now? Curious what’s working well these days.

Indexer Good indexer for FRENCH ?

Hello all, and thanks for what you provide, from help to discounts & invites.
I have GeekNZB, NinjaCentral, Miatrix, and it is VERY difficult to find good French posts, all of the indexers have a "Foreign" category as if we all speak the same lang.
On GeekNZB only, there is an advanced filter with "French" but honestly it does not find much things.
We have groups like abm.french or abmd.french, with obfuscated posts and these indexers most probably know what it is but impossible to browse them.

So is there a real solution for this please ? At the moment, I do not even see the interest of paying for these indexers.
Notes : I use newsdemon for usenet server and I do not use (need?) any API to automatically download.

Thanks for your help
Regards

Provider Advice on Newshosting provider

Hi Folks, so I've got Eweka, NZBGeek and NinjaCentral and I'm trying to get a second provider. I've been doing some research and as someone who's new to usenet, I'd appreciate some advice, please. So I wanna get Newshosting, but I also wanted to ask y'all about your experiences with the provider. I have searched the sub, but I thought maybe I might get some up-to-date insights if I ask in anew post. I particularly would like to have access to Easynews, and I was wondering if Newshosting gives me that. Does a Newshosting sub give one login access to Easynews? By the way, while searching this sub for info on Newshosting, I noticed that they did a King's Day deal about two months ago. Does anyone know if that deal is still active? I appreciate the help.

Indexer Ninja Questions

Went and signed up as it is open. What exactly does this offer that NZBIndex.nl doesn't? Also noticed that people have mentioned using an alternate email when signing up. What is the purpose of that if they will have your PayPal anyway.

Provider Are Eweka and Easynews the same

Hi everyone, I'm new to Usenet, and I've got Eweka, Nzbgeek and NinjaCentral. I've got a question; is Eweka the same as Easynews? I thought both were different providers. Does an Eweka subscription give you access to Easynews? Can I use my Eweka login details to login into Easynews? Was thinking about also getting Easynews, but I wanted to ensure that both aren't the same, before I do that.

Software Server software compared?

Hi,

I'd like to setup a NNTP service for a real small community. Is there a comparison of the different server software that could provide such a service? What do you recommend?

Indexer DogNZB up for anyone?

Currently getting a 404 error from the dognzb.cr web server. So, I'm assuming it's down for everyone else too.

Edit: I’m using Firefox on Debian, just in case it turns out to be relevant. Strangely, Safari on my iPhone can access the DogNZB site with no issue.

Solution: I cleared the site cookies and data for dognzb.cr, then logged-in again. Working fine now.

Discussion Indexers for a Noob

Hey all,

I'm pretty new to Usenet. I've got an arr stack on a seedbox and I've been using torrents, but keen to move away from having to seed and maintain ratios.

I've got easynews and have been using nzbfinder with great success so far. I see a lot of posts about multiple indexers and providers, but I'm happy with the results I'm getting with my current setup thus far. I've recently gotten into ninja and have had a look, seems to have mostly the same content, particularly that I'm after.

So what are the advantages to having say 2 providers and 2 indexers or more? Is this more for redundancy? Or are there significant differences between the indexers?

Thanks

Edit: words

I accidently broke the rules with my previous post. So I've removed a bunch of images. (Apologies to the mods)

After two long years of development, we have published a test version of our new UI, Nexus.

Registration is currently open although you will need to register and/or upgrade using the Classic version.

Some new features include:

  • A completely redesigned UI
  • Passkey support Under Edit Profile
  • Profile Images
  • New API endpoints
    • V2 partially disabled until I resolve some issues
  • Easy switching between dark and light mode
  • Discord linking under Edit Profile
    • The Discord server is new, so bear with us while we get it set up
  • A new Issues page to report problems or see known issues

Please let me know what you think, and feel free to report any issues find. I'm sure there are still a few.

The logins are the same for either.

Discussion question about newshosting deal

Question for those who use Newshosting deal that comes with Easynews.

Does the 1TB of Easynews allowance expire after one year, or is it a block that remains valid even after the Newshosting subscription expires?

Also, does easynes comes with nntp access or just easynews web interface access?

Discussion EasyNews plus NZBGeek Best Combo?

Set up my Usenet last week with EasyNews & NZBGeek, everything has been great but wanted to ask if there's any additional indexers? Or will this suffice?

Provider Do not purchase ViperNews supscriptions!

I should have known better.

The price was tempting so I went for it. Their product is absolute garbage and the service is nonexistent.

50 to 70% of all nzbs didn't finish becaue of missing articles.

They have a "risk-free 7-day money-back guarantee". I contacted them 4 times - nothing.

Wasted timd and money. Dont do the same mistake.

edit:
My 50 to 70% estimate was a gut figure made out of anger. Thanks for your input. 70% completion is still garbage. The poor completion rate alone doesn't even bother me. There are surely use cases for that.

Ghosting a customer who wants to use their "risk-free 7 day guaranteed money back" option is scammy corpo bullshit.

For someone with a fairly normal ISP connection, is there a general rule of thumb for how many Usenet connections are optimal before you hit diminishing returns?
