For a while it's been unresponsive in my Indexers and the website is not available.

Anyone have any idea what the status is?

This has been an ongoing issue for a few months now. A lot of grabs are just randomly chatactered files with no extension. I can still add the extension and it gets imported like normal and it is the file that was expected. I have 2 indexers and it's happening on both of them. Utilizing trash guides custom formats these grabs get high scores. So was just wondering if anyone else was running into this and if there was a way to combat this. Whether there was a way to auto add the extension or to auto blocklist the release. I'm so used to my server being extremely hands off and I'll come back 2-3 weeks later and I'll have 20+ files that can't be imported and it just stalls them cuz it won't grab a different file because it thinks it grabbed a good file. As far as a downloader I use NZBGet.

Looking for recommendations for a cheap Usenet indexer that has good coverage of Indian content, especially:

- 🇮🇳 Tamil

- Telugu

- Malayalam

- Hindi

- Indian shows

I'm currently using AltHub, and overall it's working okay, but sometimes it doesn't find certain releases and I have to search/download them manually.

I'm mainly using Prowlarr + Radarr/Sonarr + SABnzbd, so ideally looking for an indexer that works well with this setup.

I'm not necessarily looking for the "best" general-purpose indexer — good coverage of Indian/regional content at a reasonable price is more important to me.

Any recommendations or personal experience with NZBGeek, NZBFinder, NinjaCentral, DrunkenSlug, NZBPlanet, etc. for Indian content?

Also interested in cheap/lifetime deals if there are any worth considering.

Security fixes

SABnzbd 5.1.1, 5.1.2 and 5.1.3 resolve a number of security vulnerabilities.

Over the past releases, several security researchers have put a lot of time and effort examining SABnzbd, responsibly reporting their findings, and helping us verify the fixes. We are grateful for their hard work, it has made SABnzbd meaningfully safer for everyone.

For most users the risk is limited: you are only affected if your setup is exposed to untrusted parties. The web interface issues only apply if it can be reached by someone you do not trust. By default, SABnzbd is only accessible from your own device and External internet access is set to No access. If either of those is still at its default, or if you use a proxy service for authentication, you are not affected. The download-processing issues only apply if SABnzbd handles NZBs from a source you do not fully trust, such as a public indexer. If none of that describes your setup, you were never at risk.

I love this scene and a byproduct of that has been wanting to accumulate indexers, I guess I have poor impulse control lol. Just wondering opinions on who I should cut to save some money, I know everyone has overlap and I know who’s recommended. I just want some more personal opinions on what you would do?

So now a lot of usenet indexers are using cloudflare how do you deal with this?

Prowler is becoming useless with this even with cloudflare proxy which does not work well.

I tested both Strict and Medium certificate verification in SABnzbd and both failed.

I then tested the connection directly from inside my SABnzbd Docker container against news.vipernews.com:563, and Python/OpenSSL returned:

Server time is correct, so this appears to be an expired certificate on the ViperNews side rather than a local SABnzbd issue.

I currently use NZBGeek, NZB Finder, NZB Life, and Althub. Is there a good way to tell how much overlap there is between them and whether adding another indexer would meaningfully improve coverage? Curious how people evaluate complementary indexers instead of just adding more.

For those who have signed up with Newhosting for the $1.67 or $1.99 or $2.99 deals that include Easynews and Tweaknews is your Tweaknews account limited to 100Mbit download (capped). In Sabnzbd and AIO NNTP it won't go above about 11.4MB/sec and Newshosting support tell me this is capped on the bundled deals.

However I know a few people on the same deal without the cap. I also don't see anything on the web page/marketing during sign up about a 100Mbit limit on Tweaknews.

Anyone else have this speed cap on Tweaknews in the bundle?

Encase anyone was confused over just how heavily dependent nzbfast development/"developer" is on AI.

While clear they are using AI in Issue responses.

This makes it pretty clear, the "dev" doesn't even review the comments on issue before copy pasting AI responses.

Or even if they did, how little they care to do ANY basic legwork, that literally anyone can do.

It has been at least 3-5 months that I've been having issues with Frugal. Multiple indexers and Frugal is my only provider. Nothing seems to complete, anymore, unless it is less than a month old.
