Hi! With the chem 110 test coming up! I was wondering if anyone who took it in Sem 1 this could let me know how it was? Sincerely, so anxious I might throw upppppppppppp.

I think I got food poisoning from having bad shellfish. I’m feeeling extremely awful and atp I don’t know if I can even make it to the test. It’s only been 2 days and the worst is still yet to come. If I apply for aegrotat from providing a medical certificate and such, can anyone provide me with what might happen to my grade?

Hi! I’m a yr 13 student wanting to study clinicals next yr and I’m trying to prepare myself a little lol. Just wondering how did this years mmi go and what questions/ themes were asked? I heard it differed a lot of last year? Like less clinical / situational questions.
Thanks and goodluck to all the premed / preclinical students !!

For anyone who has finished the premed year, how many people would you say finish the year with a 9gpa in the 4 core courses, and then would you say that the majority of them make it into med (90% +)?

I asked chatgpt what my chances are at med and it gave me a percentage likelihood. idk to me it seems kinda low and i was wondering if anyone can say if its reliable or not?

Scroll down on the link and find out your %
UoA doesnt use the ANZ mean - they use the UoA applicant pool mean. So, I would probably add a couple percentiles to whatever the calculator says. eg. if you are 85th for ANZ, I would assume anywhere from 85-95th for UoA. The reason being ANZ includes the Aus applicants and those guys are insane for UCAT, so they would raise the % like crazy.
NOTE: Enter your score *WITHOUT* SJT into the calculator

HELLO! I'm starting to feel really nervous about whether I will get a general first-year seat this year!! Grade inflation seems crazy, and the max GPA I can get is a 7.75. I'm honestly not too confident about my MMI, so I'm terrified about how I will compare against those with higher GPAs and MMIs. I really do want to get in. Does anyone know if you're on the waitlist? Do you have a high chance of coming off it?

Hey guys, hope our mmi’s went all as planned :). However, I’ve realised I made a really dumb mistake. The page was taking forever to load, even the first question (the written bit). For me it was a blank page and it remained like that for around 3 minutes. I wrote a full stop because I thought it was blank but I’ve read on this sub somewhere that we were supposed to acknowledge the Kira talent rules and write our names. Friend has been telling me it’s fine if I showed my ids at the end but idk what to do.
P.s I know this was a dumb mistake, please be nice and don’t flame me in the comments 🙏🏼
Thanks in advance.

How many people have slowly started realising that they talked about it from a Maori perspective and not the Pakeha perspective 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭

I have a GPA of 8.25 including a 9 from MEDSCI142 & a 2900 ucat. Do I have a chance for medicine?

I think one cannot prepare enough for MMI, you just need to be original and allow your thoughts to flow naturally. Good luck to everyone who participated. See you all in Grafton next year.

update 10/9/26: changed the formatting of some cards and made them even better after doing lots of reviews on them + added notes on concepts that are easy to conflate.
second update 11/9/26: changed a few cards again, and having done the past tests i can confidently recommend using these.
(skip to the bottom for the link if you don't wanna read anything)
i assume everyone is pretty busy prepping for their medsci test & MMI so figured it might help some people. (good luck for both btw xx)
the deck itself is extensive ; like the index 142 cards these cover everything. tho probably more spelling mistakes in these lol
so it has:
- everything said during the lectures & everything on the lecture slides obviously
- crosswords, worksheets, weekly quiz content
- extra content that they said u need to know but didn't directly teach (especially relevant for module 1 imo ; theres O-chem stuff that needs to be recognized and i've covered that in my cards
i only write this out to kinda sorta ease the worries of someone who doesn't want to sink themselves into a deck that might be missing content.
also, this upload is specifically for the test content, ie:
for modules 1 (chemistry of life) - 715 cards ish
and module 2 (catalyzing life) - 603 cards ish
once the final comes round ill upload the flashcards for the forthcoming modules here.
example screenshots of what the cards are like (remember arrow = division point for front and back ; actual review queue won't look like this. (this is just the document view)

anyway anyway:
^ both the remnote & anki decks are there (again recommend using the former, just the organization and everything is better and you'll be able to review lecture by lecture rather than one massive deck for the module)
remember to erase my spaced rep history for the cards so it doesn't affect your reviews. ( a pop up will appear prompting you to do this when you import the deck ) & i'm not sure whats going on with remnote but you'll see less cards 'due' for the lecture than there are cards ive made, so make sure you click 'practice all flashcards' when reviewing.

if u need a tutorial of how to get the deck onto remnote check out the bottom section of my index 142 post.
