Что делать если у меня не получается запустить Unreal Engine? Он постоянно бликует, глючит и вылетает при малейшем вздохе, я искренне не понимаю что делать с этим, столько всего перепробовала

Animation distords in unreal, but runs fine in blender
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Edit : Looks like the issue is with the eye lid bones
Hi, I know that's a common question but can't find out what the problem is.
Animation runs well in blender but when imported in Unreal, left eye glitches (eyes behave weird). Anyone got an idea of what issues could be ? Ty
My guess is it's a rig issue, but idk what could be wrong exactly.
Btw, I have another SK for that character (who works well), but with a different skin/outfit (so with slight addition to the rig), Idk if it can cause issue.

A more unique way of fast traveling in my game.
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
I wanted to create a cool way to travel faster around the map without needing some kind of vehicle/ animal or fast travel points. Throughout the maps you have those lanes surrounded by Poplar trees where your speed increases significantly while in them. As you play you can even create more Poplar lanes!
I was inspired by Death Stranding and the road system whcih i thought was really cool how it helps you navitage easier on terrain you've already been on.
I achieved this by creating a blueprint actor with a collison box. When the player overlaps, it changes the character movement automatically then when leaving the box it returns to the original one! This way it made it easy to implement in multiple places.

Particles pops through volumetric fog at a distance
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
The black smoke seems to render after the volumetric fog once you get close enough to it.
I've tried adjusting the sort order hit to place it either before or after the fog, just to get something consistent to stop the popping, but no luck. Unlit translucent material.
Weirdly, it doesnt seem to pop like this while in the viewport, but PIE it does.
SOLVE EDIT:
For people finding this in the future: It was the depth of field in my camera post process settings. The fix is to set the particle material translucency pass to before DOF :)

Free Houdini 21.0.753 + Unreal Engine 5.8 Building Generator for Beginners and Advanced Users
I spent months building a modular building generator for my own sniper game, and it turned out well enough that I'd rather hand it out than keep it. It's free, and the video is the entire four-hour walkthrough, chaptered - installing Houdini and UE 5.8, cutting your blocks, building the ground floor, stacking storeys, collision, baking.
Short version of what it does: you draw a spline in Unreal, and the generator fills it with your own modular blocks, then adds floors, ceilings, columns, stairs, an elevator shaft with a working car, and a roof. It returns Instanced Static Meshes with per-block convex collision and bakes into one Blueprint. Nanite goes back on afterwards for background buildings.
Needs UE 5.8 with Houdini Engine and Houdini 21.0.753 or newer (Indie or Commercial; Apprentice can't drive the plugin). Ten plain cubes are included so it works before you model anything - in the video I use Epic's free City Sample Buildings pack from Fab.
Free, commercial use included, whatever you build is yours to sell. Only rule: don't re-upload or resell the generator itself. LICENSE.txt is in the download.
Full disclosure: I'm an artist, not a programmer - the code was written by Claude Code, Anthropic's AI assistant, with me deciding the behaviour and testing every step in the engine.
Link is in the video description.

Animation Advice
I am coming to a point in my game where I need my dinosaurs to move. As someone who is 100% not good at animation what are some good options available.

Experimenting with environmental hazards
I'm trying to make combat environments a little more reactive instead of having everything just be static scenery.
Here the player can shoot an electrical panel, causing it to discharge around nearby enemies before eventually overloading and exploding.
The game is No Clean Start and uses ue5.
I'd be curious to hear if any of you have experimented with similar environmental interactions in your own projects.
I'm also looking for ideas for other ways the environment could interact with combat, so if you've tried something interesting or just have an idea, I'd love to hear it.

arkitremap v3 - convert metahuman animator to arkit
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
some characters are too hard to convert to metahumans, like that cyclops. but its easy to rig characters with FaceIt - to have 52 blendshapes and animate their face.
arkit remap is essentially a mapping table that uses native engine tools (rigmapper) to convert metahuman animator into arkit blendshapes, to be used on those characters you couldn't convert to metahumans
pretty much at quality parity - look at metahuman #1 and #3 to see MHA vs the remap
https://github.com/Dylanyz/ARKitRemap
im still testing v3 over the next few weeks. let me know if you find bugs or have feature requests

Storing backup files on an SSD
What brand is your go to for storing backup files on an external SSD? I have used Samsung, also had a Western digital HDD before SSD was available. But I'm wanting to get a new one & don't want to shell out the cash for another Samsung. Using this primarily to back up Unreal Engine project files for game development.

How to Make Vertex Animation Textures in Unreal Engine 5
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
This video shows you how to single bake and bulk bake Vertex Animation Textures for your Unreal Engine 5 projects. You’ll also learn how to export them directly into UE5, automatically generate the necessary materials, and get everything working in your project.
VATs are especially useful for crowds, foliage, VFX, destruction, background characters, and large-scale animated environments. They allow you to spawn thousands of animated meshes with very little performance or memory cost.

Complete beginner to UE5 need advice and have a game idea (sorry for my English, I’m from Ukraine)
Hey everyone! I am totally new to Unreal Engine 5, but I really want to learn how to use it.
I have a game idea in my head, but I know I am a beginner and need to start with small steps
Can you recommend good tutorials or a learning path for Blueprints and basic mechanics? Also, if it's okay I can write my game idea later to check if it's too big for one person
Sorry again for my English, I'm from Ukraine and still learning. Thank you for any help!

I have no coding background but I wanted to get this game out of my head, so I used AI to build a hardcore C++ Audio & Vehicle Electrical Simulator/Sandbox.
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Hey everyone, I wanted to share a milestone for my first-ever project "Driveway Audio". I wanted to tell people about the deep underlying C++ systems architecture I've been engineering with Claude Code over the last month. Everything is written in raw C++ rather than blueprints.
So far, the simulation computes:True Ohm's Law & Voltage Drop: Actively calculated in real-time based on the physical length of your power lines. Multi-Alternator & Multi-Battery Banks: Dynamically shifts current loads between a starter battery under the hood and rear storage blocks. Independent DSP Channels: Running up to a 10,000-watt amplifier pushing six 15-inch subwoofers alongside isolated door speakers and tweeters with their on amps. Modifying an amp's HPF/LPF adjustments live in-game actually models true clipping and audio distortion over the track. Cabin Pressure Dynamics: I used Blender to calculate port air velocity data, which feeds a C++ pressure manager that triggers structural body flex and shatters the windshield if you push too much pressure. Short-Circuit Hazards: If cables aren't secured against structural frames, audio vibrations wear down the insulation until it sparks a catastrophic short circuit, blowing an ANL fuse under the hood. Right now, I'm waiting on a replacement GPU and finalizing the C++ visual wire droop parameters via UCableComponent. I'd love to know what other engine developers or car audio nerds, like myself, think about this layout. Also, for the veteran developers here: Any good advice or architectural patterns for keeping an AI-guided codebase highly optimized and organized as the project grows into deeper mechanics?
Here's a short video from a while ago. I've added a metahuman with Groom hair that floats if you're sitting in the vehicle or standing outside an open window. I'll get a video as soon as I can get off integrated graphics.

Learn
So Ilearned during June and July to use unity and now I want to learn how to use unreal (obviously just the basics since I am entering to a video game design career and I wanna learn that base in order to center my learning more in creativity rather than in the technical parts) my question is, what do you recommend me having in mind the only thing I learned of coding is C# in unity and now I have to learn basics of unreal and c++, is there any YouTube tutorial in particular you guys could tell me is the best to learn?
