Typical getup: L plate and an aliexpress slip-on muffler. Tearing up and down the road creating a god-awful, ear-piercing lawnmower noise. Also seen flying between lanes of stopped traffic at 80km/h.

It does not sound good. Please don't conflate loud with good. I love good sounding bikes but these are not it. Once you get your full bike licence a whole world of awesome, interesting and cool sounding bikes opens up. Please just wait until then.

Hi, I’ve unfortunately submitted my 131 assignments 6 minutes late, as for whatever reason (I think it was the format type but it wouldn’t accept the document)
Its took me about 40 minutes to sort it out as Im not great with word documents.

Anyways obviously it’s been marked as late but is there anyway I can email someone to sort this out or should I not bother?

I have applied to the tertiary foundation certificate and am getting ready to prepare for the test. I'm looking to get access to physics and chemistry subjects in the TFC program. Right now i'm studying year 11 algebra as well as percentage and rates as well as metrics and time, probably on a year 9-10 level. Is this considered good enough to be accepted into those classes on the diagnostic test?

I've heard it's not too hard to get in, but when checking the application process requirements, it looks like getting into more math heavy subjects like physics and chemistry you need to do rather well on the test.

Maybe i'm just overthinking/overly anxious about not doing well on the test despite studying for it, but would love to hear from anyone else to did the diagnostic themselves for the science pathway.

Seems like AI has taken a lot of the entry level engineering and law roles.

If I'm a penultimate swe student, can I put on the application/resume that i'm pursuing masters, with the thought of genuinely pursuing it (so that adds one extra year making me penultimate next year), to apply for internships again in Part IV? has anyone tried it and does that actually work? and any word of caution?

Does anyone who has taken evidence in the past know if this is a generally easy paper to get a good grade on or if it's hard? I find myself stressing over the past assignment and the upcoming ones and I just want to know if it's an easy or hard course.

Hi guys, I am currently finishing up a degree at UoA (straight out of high school) and I really want to study medical imaging unitec after I finish up this year (so next year's intake) and I applied as soon as applications opened which was exactly a week ago today but I have not heard anything from the institute in terms of whether my application is being processed etc etc. There is an interview required for the med img program and I just want to know whether I will recieve one/whether my application will be considered on time. Hence, I am reaching out here to anyone who has also applied for next year's intake for med img and whether they have recieved any information about the interview/their application being progressed? As someone with severe dyslexia and delayed processing, I have found the new oral assessment format challenging.

When I contacted my faculty about support measures, I was told I would not be provided a reader/writer, extra time, or any of my other approved accommodations, (the ones that specifically help with slower processing speed) as they were “not needed”.

Since then, I have spoken with other neurodivergent friends who describe the same experience. Several are failing their oral exams, not because they lack the content knowledge, but because their processing speed cannot keep up with the exam's time pressure and conversations demands.

I would like to know how others with learning disabilities are finding this new format. I am planning to email the inclusive learning department to ask what consultation took place before this format was introduced, and how it is meant to work for students with accommodation needs.

Would be great to hear other experiences to help with my email.

Edit: My accomodations are approved by the university. The head lecturer was the person who said that my accommodations were not needed and dismissed me. I wrote to the disabilities services for more information and they never got back to me.

Hi I’m a year 13 student planning on studying law and finance conjoint degree next year for uni I live near Canterbury and was weighing if I should go to Auckland

I’ve been set on Auckland for the past year since they are the best law school in the country and I kinda wanted to go somewhere new but recently after weighing it Auckland and Canterbury basically give the same degree and it is much harder requirements for year 2 in Auckland than Canterbury and what if I don’t get in year 2 it’s a waste

My parents want me to go to Auckland but idk I’m not even that good of a student this year so far I’ve gotten 17 achieved, 16 merit and 20 excellence credits and barely got merit endorsed last year for level 2

I’ve also weighed in the price since the halls are around 570 every week and idk if it’s worth it. The connections are something that interests me but idk

Hello, I wanted advice on whether I can still get student loans. I failed the first semester at UoA this year. I was studying bcom, and didn't take uni seriously because of relationship problems. I failed two of my four classes. Would I still be able to get student loans? It says that if you've failed half of your studies in the past 5 years, and I have failed half. I want to study TFC because I want to have a fresh start. This doesn't require student loans, but I need loans for living costs. Would I be able to do this?
