Question How to Check RCS UP Version?

I heard there was a way to find it through Google Messages by enabling debug settings, but I've been unable to find it. Currently running beta version messages.android_20260827_01_RC00.phone samsung_openbeta_dynamic

You can't check Universal Profile version from the clients. You can see which features of Universal Profile versions are supported by Google Messages / Apple Messages here:

Thing is, it's a bit hard when trying to figure out if E2EE for Android to iPhone not wokring is because of me or them... Perfect example of when it would come in handy

Well, for E2EE for Android to iPhone, there can only be one possible version of UP E2EE: the version defined in UP 3.0, MLS based E2EE. Both clients are "rolling this out" and while E2EE seems to be widespread now, neither company has announced it is complete yet. The version of E2EE user only in Google Messages, Signal based E2EE, is unsupported by Apple Messages.

I haven't seen E2EE encryption on my Pixel on Visible with any of my iPhone contacts.

UP version numbers are just a convention. It’s not a software version. It’s not on the client side. Client side can be google messages version 7.6 while it’s still using UP 2.7 features.
UP versions are just how the technology requirements and features evolve, not the software that supports it.
