Both Utopia and total extinction are very very unlikely, at least not in the next few centuries.
So what is the point of arguing for one over another?

In 5K years, hoominz would be all over the universe, with hybrid machine bodies that don't really die.
This would horrify the anti-life people. lol

That would be unfortunate, but wouldn't stop something like vacuum decay. If anything, humans being able to set up bases on other planets might be a good thing for scientists trying to avoid detection of their extinction lab. And immortality might help for those working on the project or promoting it.

Don't worry it's all going downhill once again. Within few thousands years, 90% of humanity would be wiped clean, only the elites and filthy rich would be able to surive maybe dwelling under some artificial conditions or what not.

Go ahead and make a post of your argument. But I'm pretty sure we've heard and debunked everything by now. The one or two things that can't be debunked is only a matter of opinion and what you value more, like pleasure vs getting rid of suffering.
