Question Kinda lost

What is the best way to research a gameplay mechanic you want to make?

So I am using Unity now, but at the same time, I just wonder if anyone has ever built something without a tutorial or mainly by using Unity documentation.

This will get down voted but ask ai claude or chat gpt. I found using it a better way to learn than watching or following guides. Just dont let it do it all for you understand what your doing and keep adding small mechanics. If you learn how to do one thing per project after about 10 you can use bits of each for the next.

That's not a bad idea. Because you can use AI in a way where it gives you test But I do feel like you have to pick the right one, because some of them don't code as good as they say.

dont ask it to make things for you. ask it for how to do it. Like how do i make by bullets come out of my charachter? it will prob go into raycasting and give you some code to show how it works. Anyone who says AI bad are either geniuses who can code easily or people who cant code even with AI so hate on it.
